disclaimer: didn't tour for years and years, just trips around town and work commuting, and got majorly back into cycling when acquiring an E-gravel bike that serves both as my commuter and distance tourer. Discovered lots of trails along the way and got a Hardtail to explore those.

proud of myself today: gave my new Hardtail its baptism and did the most grueling analog bicycle tour i did in years. 36.6km of singletrail, roots, graveltrails, mud and general foresting in 2:42h.
Got stuck on some climbs or picked the wrong line at some places, so i had to get off and push, but i still managed an average speed of 13.3kph (i'm not a practiced trailrider by a longshot). Average heartrate of 140 for the whole thing. That was one mean workout, but a ton of fun and fine challenge. will do that loop again and try to beat my time and some of the passages i got stuck on.
