Pretty sure that cover is a dust cap, you’re maybe leaking oil through the piston seals?

try pushing the pistons in with a plastic lever. then bleed with a bleeding block

Piston looks overextended and might be damaged.

Did you unscrew the silver torx bolt by any chance?

You’ve cracked the pistons, it’s toast, lucky it’s not expensive and now you get to learn the added bonus of putting barbs and olives on! Next time just bleed in situ on the bike and then use brake cleaner liberally

I guess the Quad-Rings inside the brake callipers are leaking.
I highly recommend to replace the whole brake calliper.
They are cheap. Take no risk here …

Leaky seal means, for most of us, replace the entire caliper. Hard to find parts. Hard to repair even if you find parts.

Thanks all! I will replace the caliper if i can find or buy a second hand rear brake set to just plug and go

Wait, did you try to use some cardboard as a bleeding block? If so, then just push the piston back into place and repeat the bleeding with a normal plastic bleeding block

I would buy a new caliper this one has been messed with pretty bad. Mismatched screws holding the case together and such you may have other problems fatrher in from that piston being skewed and this caliper is not extremely expensive

you might need a new caliper
