Hi folks,

Been running a pair of G-One RS Pro’s this year, and I’m admitting defeat on a tubeless rear.

These tires are fast. I have loved every mile on them. Roads are 95% tarmac but can be rough in places.

First cut was minor and sealed itself after a while. Still leaked a little but held pressure. (40psi)

Rode yesterday and felt the spray of sealant and then lost all pressure. This one was a big one and it’s never going to seal. 🙁

TPU tube is in for now, and on the lookout for a fast rolling tire that’s a little tougher.

Any advice welcome. Got 45mm but would probably go down to 35mm for more speed.

  1. I had a pair hutchinson caracal race 40mm during UK summer and now I swapped to G-One RX Pro 45mm for the Autumn and Winter season. Caracals are super fast and supposed to have a decent puncture protection and wet grip according to [https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/](https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/) . They were ok on type 2 gravel. My frame allows for up 52mm so I’m tempted to get 50mm G-One RS for summer next year 🙂

  2. If you have really rough road conditions, the fastest tire is the one that doesn’t puncture easily.
Would you be willing to sacrifice some speed for overall durability?
