I’ve been making a few upgrades to my bike to improve comfort and shock absorption. For example, I’m running an S-Works Power EVO Mirror saddle paired with a Redshift Endurance Pro seatpost for added suspension. My tyres are tubeless, and I’ve swapped to a carbon handlebar to ease the strain on my hands and lower back. I’m also using SQlab 701 2.0 grips along with SQlab 410 2.0 inner bar ends, which make long rides much more comfortable.
That said, I still need some advice on four things:
1. Light gravel readiness – I’d like to make the bike as smooth as possible on light gravel. Are there other upgrades I should consider? I was thinking about a carbon fork, but since it’s an e-bike, I’m not sure if that’s a wise option.
2. Crankset limitations – I couldn’t find any carbon cranks for a JIS square taper, since the OEM bottom bracket has a torque sensor and can’t be swapped. I don’t mind going with anything 130 BCD or larger, as I mainly want to run a 58T chainring (currently using a 130BCD 58T TA Alizé).
3. Premium rims – I’d like my rims to look more high-end, but I don’t know where to start. The challenge is that the rear hub contains the motor, so standard rims won’t fit. I’m also unsure about going carbon because of the motor’s torque and extra weight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
4. Rear rack protection – My rear rack keeps getting scuffed, even when I handle it carefully. What can I use to protect it—stickers, vinyl, protective films, or something else?
I’m based in London, so ideally I’d source parts locally, but I’m also open to ordering from abroad.
Thanks in advance for any help!

What is that under the Knog scout?
Carbon fork won’t realistically help as none of the companies who make them will be focusing on laying up the carbon to focus on minimising vibration and also I wouldn’t exactly trust any of the carbon forks for use on an e bike either.
One thing you can look into is mountain grips some of the newer ones are specifically tailored to cut out vibration.
