Wish I grab some more photos before I left. Just wanted to leave before it got too late!

Got my rack and ended up getting everything set up, I decided to ride 25 miles out for a test night and everything went well! The weight of the bike honestly didn’t slow me down that much except for the steeper Hills, I just felt so free not having anything on my back. I am planning to move a little bit of the weight upfront. I feel like I’m ready for a longer trip, going to plan a route and hopefully get it done this year, I’m going to bring a real camera and make a full video on it!! I’m going to my bike a little tuneup and figure out some small things to potentially improve the weight situation. Now time to craw my way home.

Yes, I did cut down the red strap that is wrapped around my hub in the photo !

  1. How actually heavy is the bike\gear would you say? How strong of a cyclist are you normally\avg speed on flats\ what distance do you ride vs what is your speed on flats on this bike and what distance did you ride?

Next year I plan to do some touring and knowing myself I will probably need to carry more gear than most to be comfortable. I appreciate anything you share>

I towed around 60lbs with 3L of water in frame , was tough on hills, all that weight on bike would actually maybe be easier, but I like the trailer for the simple organizing, but it is def a drag on any tech single climbs. They now make a Robert Smith Axle project axle for the Orbea Wild FS , so my next one will be two 750kw batteries and a full suspension enduro emtb , two batteries will give me some more range and crushing climbs with the ability to shred single when the trailer and camping set up has been a long time dream.
