I’ve recently reserved a Canyon Endurace CF 6 in size Small. I’m 177 cm tall with an 81.5 cm inseam.
Based on Canyon’s sizing chart, I felt confident going with a Small. But when I stopped by Decathlon, I tried out a second-hand Endurace AL in Medium. On the bike, it felt pretty similar to my current 2010 Specialized Allez (54 cm).
Now I’m second-guessing a bit—if I stick with the Small, will it actually make much of a difference compared to the Medium?
I know this topic has been discussed plenty of times, and I’ve read through a lot of those threads, but I was hoping to hear from people who’ve had more recent experiences.

Canyon’s endurance bike is called the **Endurace**.

Small! Otherwise your reach will be way too long.
Size down!
I was able to visit a store in Germany and try out some bikes. I was told that it is totally possible to extend the reach and other parts but it’s not possible to shorten something. They offer the needed parts for that. With that in mind it would be best to get the small size and if it’s too short for you to extend it with the right parts.
Always the size down as it’s easier to make a small bike bigger than the reverse.
I have the same inseam and I’m 174cm. I’m riding an Endurace S and I’m happy with it!
I’ve actually bought an Endurace from this generation frameset, size L (h:188, i:86). In my range (L-XL), if I remember correctly, the only semnificant difference was in head tube length. If that’s the case with your range as well I’ll say it comes down to personal preference. For my size L I still had to get a longer slammed stem to get it to fit me the way I like. Couldn’t imagine how I wold have made that happen with a higher stack bike.
Endurace has long reach. I’d go S unless somehow manage to try before ordering
Always go for the smaller one if you are in between sizes.
I’m 178cm and 84,1 inseam, I ride a Endurace AL7 in M and it’s perfect
Small for sure.
