Have you ever seen a kid run off from an attentive parent? I have. Lots of times. I understand their concern.

My kids’ school shares space with a daycare and there is a drop-off loop in the parking lot for parents to drop off their kids. Some of the daycare parents would park their cars there jamming the whole thing up (school parents would do it too but they would actually listen to the teachers when they told them to move while the daycare parents wouldn’t). After years of this they’ve finally just closed parent access to the parking lot and loop entirely.
