As the title says, I’m struggling to choose between the Endurace and the Gen 2 Grail.
I orginally bought an Endurace CF SL 8 in yellow, however Canyon shipped me an Aeroad. I sent the bike back and am waiting for my refund.
Since then the Gen 2 Grail has been released and I really like the look also the ability to put on 40mm tyres/tires is sweet.
I know that most of the time, like 80% I will be riding road or tarmac. The other 20% will be stone or mud paths. Which tells me I should probably get an Endurace and put on some 35mm Schwalbe G-One RS Evos. I’m not sure on how these would handle the mud regarding clearance.
I’m interested in either the [Endurace CF SLX 8 Di2](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/cf-slx/endurace-cf-slx-8-di2/2859.html?dwvar_2859_pv_rahmenfarbe=BK%2FBK) , [Endurace CF SL 8 Disc](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/outlet-bikes/gravel-bikes/endurace-cf-sl-8-disc/3383.html?dwvar_3383_pv_rahmenfarbe=YE%2FBK) or [Endurace CF 8 LTD](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/cf/endurace-cf-8-ltd/3913.html?dwvar_3913_pv_rahmenfarbe=RD) if I can get it in a small.

From the Grail side, I would prefer a 2by, which leaves me with only the [Grail CF SLX 8 Di2](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/gravel-bikes/performance/grail-generation-2/cf-slx/grail-cf-slx-8-di2/3579.html?dwvar_3579_pv_rahmenfarbe=R120_P02). It is quite a bit more expensive. Otherwise there are the [Grail CF SL 7 AXS](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/gravel-bikes/performance/grail-generation-2/cf-sl/grail-cf-sl-7-axs/3576.html?dwvar_3576_pv_rahmenfarbe=R119_P01) or [Grail CF SL 8](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/gravel-bikes/performance/grail-generation-2/cf-sl/grail-cf-sl-8/3577.html?dwvar_3577_pv_rahmenfarbe=R119_P02) but I’m unsure if having the narrower range of gear will hurt me on the road. I’ve never ridden a 1by.
I like the Grail for the longer rides for the [Canyon LOAD FidLock QuickLoader](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/gear/accessories/transport-and-travel/bikepacking-and-bikebags/canyon-load-fidlock-quickloader/9102160.html) and intergrated storage yes poor reason to choose a bike and for the 40mm tyres/tires that I could put on for my offroad adventures. I do have another set of carbon wheels I could put 32mm or 35mm road tyres on. The forks also look like they can withstand more impact.

I feel the Endurace is the more logical option, but I feel the Grail supports a broader range of riding.
I need to have a look at the Geometry between the two also, but they look similar.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

Endurace with the Schwalbes because you will be mostly road. Canyon did sell the endurace with those tires as an all road.
