Tailfin’s debut Detours event in the Brecon Beacons was such a great way to spend the weekend. In this video me and Laura cycle 57 miles with over 7500ft of elevation, carrying our tent, sleeping bags and all the essential kit on our bikes. Featuring some sheep that go rogue!
Thank you so much for watching!

Good morning. It’s just before 8 in the A.M. We’ve been up since 4:00. We’ve just done a three-hour drive to Talibonus. Laura’s here, too. Hello. In the south of Wales. Basically, we’re here for Detours, which is a tail fin cycling event. There’s like 10 or 11 different points. I don’t know how many because we’re not going to all of them. And we basically cycle to another campsite tonight. And the aim of the game is to do the biggest detour to the campsite, hitting as many points as you can. But the other option is just to take it easy. Smiles over miles. There’s one mandatory point. So that’s what we’re doing. Yes. We’re going to go to a few checkpoints along the way, but we’re just going to make sure we go to the mandatory one. And we’re doing about 90 km hilly with gravel bikes. Yeah. And a lot of bike bags. So all our stuff, including a tent that I ordered for this event, never put up before. And it’s very it was very hard to squish into my bag. So you might have some entertainment later of us putting the tent up. It looks like it’s going to rain, too. But there’s a lot of people here that look like they will be doing the serious as far as they can detour. Um, but it starts at 9:00 and you have to finish by 6:00. So, we’ve got plenty of time for our 90k. Bike is set up. We’ve gone for um an aero mode of bag here. Two man tent sleeping bag and my evening clothes squished into the sleeping bag. This has got my camera and inner tube and a rain coat which I’m probably going to ride with because it looks going to rain. And this has got What has this got in it? Oh, a puffer jacket. uh a roll mat and I think some snacks. So, oh, and a wash bag. So, I’m actually quite impressed with that. Laura, what’s your setup looking? I’ve got chargers and snacks in here. Oh, yeah. I’ve got my charge port as well. All me warm kit for later on is in this one. Yeah. And then me sleeping arrangement on the ben sleeping bag with a roll mat and a pillow. Lovely pillow. I’ve not I’ve not got a pillow, but I was going to use my puffer jacket. Yeah. Detours. It’s loading for me. 92.48 km. 6,516 ft of climbing. And the Garmin’s estimating 3 hours 40, but that’s not going to be the case today. In a car. Yeah, we’re not we’re not going to be going. We’re just going to be pling along and enjoying it really. And if anything goes wrong on the route, we’re going to blame commute because all I did was put the points in and hit go and commute made a route for me. So now we should be okay. I did I did check it over, but yeah, it’s a hopefully a mixture of gravel and road. I think it’s mainly road. Oh, also I’m really happy that Laura is here because there’s no rest for the wiki. Wiki wiki wiki wiki. If you don’t know what that means, basically on tour to France, I was meant to be having a rest day. Kyle was telling me to rest and I said, “Well, Kyle, there’s no rest for the wicked.” And then I started singing and then now we always say it when we see each other, no rest for the wiki. Wiki wiki. There isn’t any rest for the wiki today cuz we’re we’re blowing cycling. I’m actually a bit worried because the back of my bike honestly it’s so heavy. I’m I’m sure this is now heavier than me and I’m a bit worried like if I go up a hill I think I’m going the handlebars are going to lift off the floor. Yeah that granny gear and I’m worried about descending Laura cuz I’m dead steady dead steady. You know I’m like descending and I’ve done it fully loaded. Yeah, we’re both snails at descending aren’t we? So all right. There’s a lot of other bikes and people everyone’s having a mill over the setup. Yeah, there some people be really, you know, going for it. Anyway, I’m going to have no film left if we carry on. So, we’ll get on the road and then we’ll be back. Everybody over here, please. Thank you. Yes, you can. We are off. Whoa. It’s actually the roads are actually a bit grally. So, I’m glad I’m on me gravel bike. This is meant to be a road. Yeah. Right, it’s time for the fun to begin. So, we’re starting off with a little out and back to one of the checkpoints. Quite a steep one. It said 14% gradient. Definitely feel the weight of the uh tent on the back of my bike. And it’s going up again. Oh no. Nearly at the top where the first checkpoint will be. Steep one to get us going. Got to get used to the weight on the back of the bike. It feels a bit weird. Where the point should be, but there’s nothing here. So, everyone’s just taking selfies of each other to prove we’ve been here. Someone’s stolen the sign. Yeah. Who stole the sign? They’ve got up early, aren’t they, to steal it? Yeah, someone snapped their chain. So, someone’s chain snapped up there. Um, she’s okay. But that just proves how how tough the climb was. Yeah, it was. How did you find that, Laura? It was definitely a warmer upper. I can see the sweat. Salt for your chips later. Oh, don’t someone need plumbing. Jeez, they found it. [Music] Wish I had skills like that. They found it. They say she thinks she found it. Oh, is it over there? Where’s she gone? Oh, is it behind those bushes? Oh, coming through it. And Oh, she’s running. She’s running. She’s really going for it. She’s racing. He said must be speed demon. Hello mate. Speed demons. Yeah, it feels a bit heavy, but it’s okay. I feel like, you know, just just taking it steady on the brakes. I uh Oh, this is absolutely great. So, I mean, I was a bit stressed, but I kind of have this thing where I feel like because I’ve got social media on YouTube and I feel like people have this opinion like, “Oh, you’re just an influencer. You don’t really ride.” And the fact I was coming here and not doing one of the big detours and over 200k that people might people might like think, “Oh, she doesn’t really, you know, do enough.” But do you know what? It doesn’t matter how far you go. We’re here for a smile today. Not the miles. We might end up on a massive detour. Yeah. We might get lost. Yeah, but everyone in it together so many people out. They’re going around the corner, those whippers. And it’s just it’s about fun and that doesn’t always need like I love riding far, but you don’t always have to push yourself and you can just come and take your time and enjoy it. And that’s what I’m going to do today and stop putting so much pressure on myself because I do that so bad. Like I’m so bad at putting pressure on myself in everything I do. And yeah, I just want to enjoy today with a bestie. Have fun and not do loads of miles. Although for a lot of people 90k is a lot of miles, so I’m not diminishing that. I’m in that club. For me, 90k is a short ride, but for Laura, it’s a good ride today. Yeah, quite a big one with the hills as well. Quite hilly. It’s definitely not an easy ride, so we’re here to enjoy it. Oh, and my Garmin is telling me to drink some water, so I’ll listen to that. We’re climbing again, and it’s proper rain now. So, welcome to Wales. This is what we were expecting, and it’s delivered. Yeah. Delivering me up somewhere as well. Up we go. See the free apple. I saw the free apples. You got free apples. Well, I didn’t get one, but I want to stop to get I should have stopped to get one. Really? I do love a good apple. Actually, you me down there. You got one. Got two. I’ve got some apples in my car for when I finish tomorrow. Me struggle on this one. Be fine. Sheltering while I wait for Laura. She’s coming. We’re just all saying, why do we do this to ourselves? Well, you know, we’ll feel good at the end of the day. All right. Done. Bit wet. Bit wet. Yeah, just a light shower. Got to go away. Keeping us cool. Just a least. It’s not too hot. Anyway, at least we got waterproof. You know, we’re not made of sugar paper. It’s not warm. It’s not cold. Exactly. We’ll be all right. Laura’s coming. There she is. Laura, I’m dry. just came up an absolute burner. One guy was walking up and I don’t blame him. I was so close, but Laura will be coming up here in a minute. It went to about 18% gradient and I did not want to film one-handed with the bag on the back. I don’t think I could have done. Should have put this camera on, but I was just thinking about getting up here to be honest. Here comes one person. That was horrible. behind. Oh, it’s horrid. Oh, but this they’ve got blue sky now, though. Look at that view. That view makes it worth it. That was horrid. Hey. Oh, sorry. In the wind. Well done. Good. I think it’s like an up and down now to the checkpoint. Go on. He’s going to have a lesson. Up you go. Well done, Alie. Ali, Ali. Didn’t enjoy that. Go on. Go on, Laura. This is hard. Did you Did you get off? Well done. Good job. Go on, Laura. Good. The last Think about the Curry. Think about the Curry tonight. The bad thing is, Laura, we got to go up there and back down to here. So, we’ve got an option now. We can either go up there to the checkpoint and then come back down and go that way or we can just go that way. Now we’ll go up. We might as well go up, might we? How bad is it, though? Hike a bike. We’re carrying on up to the checkpoint, but it’s not as steep now. Thankfully, it’s leveled off. One poor chap’s got a puncture. Not surprised, though, cuz we went through this lane. And honestly, I’ve never seen so many thorns in my life. So, luckily, so far so good. But I don’t want to speak too soon. I’ve got tubeless today. Gravel Kings on 45. So nice chunky tire. I actually think there might be 40s. I have to check in a minute. So I can’t remember now. But we’re nearly at the checkpoint and then can turn back around. I think to go to the checkpoint. We’ve just been faced with this. Now the camera always makes it look less steep than it is. But I’m not even going to attempt That’s me to go up there because I think my front wheel’s going to lift off. So we’re going to have to walk up there, Laura. Unless you want to give it a go, but I I don’t. Not. No, thank you. You will walk up there. He’s going for it. He’s sneaking. Yeah, the brakes. I don’t think I want a free wheel down there. Oh jeez. Where? I don’t even want to free down there, Laura. I’m walking down. I’m scared. Well, I think we got to get out of the way now, right? Let’s walk up and get it over with. Well done. Well done. Well done. [Music] One minute. Well done. Fun to go down. No, I don’t want to. I don’t want to go down. It’s actually harder to walk up the damn thing though. I’m a bit worried about three weaving down. Laura walking back. She’s me cleat. Good job. I’ve got me gravel cleats on. It’s a double-handed job. This we’ve made it to the top. And I thought that fell was going off for a wee, but no. That’s his roots through there. Is it? Yeah. I thought he was going for a wee. Does it avoid what? Going back down there cuz I’ll take it. I don’t want a free wheel back down there. I’m scared. I know. I’d rather walk up the road over there. I think it looks a bit sketchy. I’m not going over that. I think I’m think I’m going to go back down. Yeah, I’m going to go down the road. You’re right. I think it’s actually harder to walk down the rider. I think it’ll be harder to walk down. Yeah. Yeah. Oh no. Amy, I’m breaking it. Where’s the stamp thing? Oh, it’s just there. Oh, yeah. Yeah, we’ll be all right. He went he went down the bottom did a full on skid and Laura don’t worry we face don’t be tense trust the bike trust the bike and trust the brakes Kyle what this person told me Laura I just called you Kyle sorry was relax breathe and smile but I’ve punched it number eight well anyway that’s nice little church I stopped down there cuz I thought it was the I know I thought it was as well I thought oh jeez I’ve done it I looked up and I thought Oh no. You can’t blame our glory sponsors cuz we chose the route. You did. You choose this route. No, I just washed it. I did. You chose this one. I didn’t choose to put the thing there. Okay, that’s not me. Don’t Don’t blame that on me, please. Right. So, some people were asking me how to get on the bike when it’s, you know, this packed up. Also, we are testing the tail fins today because if this the stuff in here is dry by the end of today, then it’s waterproof because this is honestly on the limit. It’s on the It’s on It’s on the limit of a bit like me at the moment. Yeah. a bit like me going up that hill a minute ago, but this is how I get on the bike and it’s how I always have and how I always will maximize the length of your leg. I would say in that literally even when it’s not packed up, that’s how I get on. Step over it. Yeah. How do you get out 40 times? You go from behind. Yeah. Or if it’s not packed. I wonder if I can do this. You can do it. Oh wow. Oh, can we get that on? Oh, we missed. It’s really hard when it’s packed though. Can you just do that again for the camera? These are skills. Wow. Wow, that is It feels cool until you nearly stuck it. Cool as well. Oh, thank you. Yeah, really cool. A lot more cool than mine. I don’t know how to walk or ride down. Oh, I don’t know, Laura. I’m scared. I’m seriously scared. Whoa. Has my train come off? No. I don’t know if I can. Are you Are you walking down or riding down? Are you going to walk down or ride down? Probably going to walk down. I think I’m going to walk down as well. I’m too scared. falling off going down hills before and broken things. So, right. Okay, that’s really okay. Right, I’m going to walk then. Thank you for that confirmation. Laura, I’m going to walk as well. He just told me that he fell off before and broke stuff on a descent. So, now I’m going to walk. Yeah. Lucky if we make it there for six at this rate. Right, we came through there on the way. We’ve got to go back through it again. I don’t like going through there. Watching how he does it. Oh, no, he’s stopping. Oh, now he’s going back. Go on, Laura. I’ll video you. I’ll take your wheel off. Go on, Laura. Fast feet. Fast feet. Well done, Laura. The thing is, I’ve got the tent, so if I come off, we’re both we’re both begged. Pardon? I’m scared to go through there. You can ride it, you walking down. This is doing one thing for me. Angina attack. My heart’s beating like my heart’s beating just stood here thinking about going through there, let alone going up the hills. Here comes some more. Hello. There’s a steep climb coming. I walked up it. So, just to let you know that I want to hear we walked up. Oh my god. Yeah, that’s awful. I actually walked down as well cuz I was too scared. I had visions of my front wheel coming up. Oh, yeah. So, I thought I’d just walk. Is it worth it? Um, there’s a nice view at the top. A little church. People that went to church. People that go to church making an effort to get there. I tell you that. Oh, no. I don’t I don’t want to go through here. You’ll be all right. Just Just pedal. I’m just going to get off the mushy bit off on I’m taking the right hand side. I’m taking the right now. My Now my cleats are full with mud. Oh, come on, Amy. Don’t you silly. Let’s go through it. Sit and pedal. Oh, that was fine. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Silly Billy. And we are walking because we’re both wimps. Well, I’ll speak for myself. Laura, I just said we’re both wimps. Would you agree with that? Laura says no, we’re not. It’s hard. Yeah, I don’t want to be falling down there to be honest. Hello mate. Right, we’ve come to a plastic. Oh, we got some cyclists. We’re going a different way. But yeah. Hello. Hi. Hey. Descent coming up by the way. Thank you. Jeez, we just walked up there. Anyway, it’s plateauing now and then onto a lane. So, we’re going to we’re going to remount the bikes. That’s a plate. Hey, look. Hello. Oh, they look scared. They’re interested in us. Just when we thought it was safe to remount. Alas, I think we just go straight through. I can’t do it. Should I see if I can get to the middle island? You can go for it. I think I’m going to What if I just I’m scared. What if I just deck it in? Yeah, that’s what I’m kind of needy as well at the minute. Oh. Oh. Oh, you got straight through the way. Have I? Yeah. Oh, that’s actually quite deep. Laura, that does not fill me confidently. Stop. You look very, you know, you look like you do this every day. Get wet. Go on, Laura. I’ve got an area. Go on, Laura. Go on, Laura. You did it. I can’t do it. I don’t know. Sheep’s having a The sheep having a cough over there. Be me in a minute. Coughing up. my my anxiety. I can’t do it. Right. I made it through and I did walk. I edged around the edge very slowly. I’m a wimp and I I don’t care admitting it. Some things scare me and it’s not for me. But I’m giving it a go and that’s what matters. So yeah, got through. One day I might be able to whip through there, but that’s not today. Well done, Laura. Oh, the sheep’s dead. I think it’s dead, Laura. Oh, I think so. Oh, right. We’re saying goodbye to that and the gate that was very hard to get out of, but it is a public bride away. And we spoke to the farmer. It’s all good. And you know what? Oh my god, the sheep coming. Oh my lord. Lord, should we let them go? Watch where they’re going. Oh my god. Hello, mate. Hello. Look, he’s open the gate for them down there. Look. Oh, okay. They’re going to come past us. What if they run directly at us? It’s all right. Hello there, little fellas. I don’t want sheep fering on my gravestone. Oh, wave me. Hello. Oh, look. No, you can’t come this way, mate. The other way. Not this way. Other way. Not this way. That way, mate. Hello. The other way. Go on. Oh, well done. Oh, they’re Oh, no. Oh no. It’s all gone wrong. It’s all gone wrong. It’s all gone wrong. Benon. Benon. Benon. Should we help? Should we go? How can we help? Do we stand here? Yeah. Oh no. Mate, idiots. Where are they going? Gosh. Up there. Not up there. They’re eating the tree. They’re eating the tree. They’re causing chaos. Down there. Oh my god. They’re not doing This is not going well. They’re meant to be going into that field down there, I believe. Hello, mates. Oh, no. No, no, no, no. I’m not I feel like Can you video on the phone with the sheep in the background? I’ll go forward. Hello. You’re not meant to be up there, mates. No. No. Oh, no. Laura, I think we’re going to have to move. They’ve gone down. This dogs just chased them down there. The farmer’s shouting, the sheep dogs’s gone the wrong way and they’ve all run down there and they’re meant to be going up there and we’re just stood watching. I think that was my spirit animal. Oh my god. I could just stand here all day watching these. I think we were too detour. It was the best detour. Seeing the sheep. Should we just go Laura? I think Yeah, maybe this is I think standing watching maybe isn’t helping. Let’s go. I thought we were kind of helping them. We were kind of helping her them, but now the they just I’ve never seen something so funny. The sheep dog just chased them the wrong way. That’s the best bit of entertainment I’ve had in a long time. The sheep just running everywhere. The farmer shouts, “The sheep dog, it chases them completely the wrong way.” The other farmer was just stood at the gate waiting. And as we went past, we went, he dropped an Fbomb. And he said, “Where have they gone?” We like, “They’ve gone that way.” So he scooted off on his quad bike, muttering to himself. But yeah, I could have stayed watching that all day, but we’ve got to keep going. So that was great. That was so funny. We’re just riding along, been past a lovely castle. Then we’re like, I think there might have been a control at that castle. But we’ve also realized we’ve only done two controls so far. We have only badged one. And I definitely planned in about seven. And I think we’ve only got two left on the route. Maybe that makes us the best worst detour. Yeah, I think we kind of we’ve basically forgotten to stop at the controls, so we’ve just been riding straight past them. Had too much fun. We’ve been having too much fun. We’re having a great time. The sun’s come out. We’ve delayed and we’re heading towards the mandatory control which is Gospel Pass. I’m not sure if there’s like an official climb up there or anything. Hello. You’re all right. Yippee. Um having a pair. Oh, I love a good pair. And yeah, so the official it’s Gospel Pass is the mandatory control. I’m not sure if it’s like an official climb up there or what way we’re going up there. So, we’ll get up there somehow. But apparently there is going to be a homemade chili up there. So that’s motivating me right now. We spoke too soon about the rain. Got absolutely drenched. It’s stopped a little bit now, but still raining, but we’re okay. It’s not cold. Climbing again. Heading towards Gospel Pass. Still not there yet. We’re getting there slowly. Can feel the weight of the tent on the back of my bike. Oh, how lovely. slanty rain in the face. Not nice. But there’s some blue over there, Laura. We might be in the sun again in a minute. That’s where we’re headed. I hope so. Wa! Oh, it’s not nice. You all right? Yeah. Oh, jeez. Windy. That means we’re going to be going. Yeah, we got a headwind going the climb. Definitely left. It’s left. Yeah. Oh, no. Oh, that’s nice. Lori, look at that. Sun’s out again. We’re going up. We’re on a gorgeous bit of road. Still heading towards Gospel Pass. Feel like we’re never going to get there, but we will. Keeping on going. It’s so gorgeous. It’s just a lot harder than usual with the weight on the bike. Hello, Sheepy. You’re cute. Oh, wow. I think we’re going to get a really nice view in a minute, which makes the climbing worth it. I’ve never ridden here before. I definitely want to ride here again. Look at that. It’s so peaceful. When you’re in places like this, it just makes me feel so calm. Hello, mate. I’m not a very cal Well, I am. I’m get getting better at being a calm person, but I’m quite a busy minded person, and I find it hard to switch off. So when I’m on my bike, that’s my favorite place to be cuz my mind is quieter than usual and it’s just when you look around at places like this. Yeah, it just brings instant calmness, which I think is why I love cycling so much. So I’m so glad that we made the 4 a.m. get up and 3-hour drive to get here this morning cuz it’s 100% worth it. Can’t put a price on this. That’s so nice. Oh, it’s windy though. Hello. Another detour. Look at this. Wow. One kilometer to go to the Gospel Pass checkpoint. Hey. Hey. You’re nearly there. Really do. And it’s gorgeous. Definitely worth the climb, was it, Laura? Yeah. Oh, yeah. It was beautiful for that. So nice. We made it. The only mandatory control point and I think probably the only one we’ve been to cuz keep forgetting to go keep forgetting to go to them. This is great. Oh, Laura, there’s cake. There’s chili. Strat. Sweet potato. Yes, I love sweet potato. Hi. Enjoy the sun. This looks great. Yeah. Oh, welcome. Oh my god. Come here, Nora. Lovely. Oh, I didn’t expect this. Oh, sweet potato. I love I normally ride a sweet potato in my pocket, actually. Yeah. Yeah. Keep going. It’s not rained on. Oh, don’t worry. I’ve been rained on all day, so it’s all right. Apparently, they’re doing best trick now past the camera. Duet for of your song. Oh, we could do a duet of our song. Oh, it was it was um it was Oh, careful with my I’m really worried my bike’s going to get rocked if I can’t. It’s um we’re going to ride the detours. We’re getting wet and when we Oh, was it? I can’t remember now. Oh, it um we’re riding detours. We’re getting drenched and when we get there, we’ll have it. It was better like that. Oh, that’s it. It was like, it was something like we’re riding deco, we’re getting drenched, and then on the parkour, we might get wet, but when we finish, we’ll get a curry. I’m not sure if we’ll make it yet. That was it. Big Agnes featured at some point. Everyone’s thinking, you absolute weirdo. I’m looking forward to this trick. I love that. Hey, I didn’t get it on camera, but that woman over there just Superman. That was her trick. Superman on the bike. I mean, how do people Thank you. She went like this was out the window. Laura, how do people do this? I mean, I’m a roadie. I’m through and through. I dabble in a bit of gravel, but as a roadie, going through a puddle is hard enough for me. So, let alone a Superman. You’ve dabbled today. And we experience going through a puddle today, Laura. And it wasn’t good for me. Not Not just as a little puddle, but you know, your level of dabilisk, don’t it? Yeah. I’m I know that I’m not good at what I’m not good at the risky stuff. I I’ve got too I think of everything that could go wrong like that muddy puddle Laura. I was thinking I could come off, you know, break an elbow. That just goes through my head. I wonder if it goes through other people’s heads. Just me. It is a legit. But that won’t go through her head when she’s doing a Superman, would it? I wouldn’t do it. Probably not. I sometimes just feel like people that can do that just must not overthink things like me. I can’t do any bike tricks because I’m absolutely useless at that. So, top of hill dance for me. That’s my trick. Jiminy cricket. [Music] Whoa. Getting blown. Hello, Shapy. Woohoo! Oh, holy pine cones. We’ve got a big climb coming over 800 ft in 3k. So, good luck to us. 886 ft. Laura, hot hard hill. Can and I will. I can and I will. In the easiest gear, but it’s not feeling easy. Oh, that climb is done. But we’ve got another one now. So, no rest for the wiki. Wiki wiki wiki. Hey, look. Laura, some other people. We’re not on our own. I’ve loved today so much. Just been nice to ride without pressure and just enjoy it. Just riding for the fun of it really. The roast ox of pain castle. Pain castle. Pain castle. Yeah. I’m going to be in pain going up here. Oh jeez whiz. G whiz. Another climb. Oh, you know what? I have just been talking about your bike all my piny. I call it rea. Rea’s ears have been burning. If it’s called cars have been burning telling everyone I’d have to hang it in the house. I do have it in the house. Yeah. I don’t know if the MS would be happy, but I want to clean it and put it on the wall. Well, luckily me and my husband both ride, so we’re happy with bikes. And we’re happy with bikes in the house. Yeah, I do love my bike. Hello, mates. Another climb down and we’ve only got 11K to go now. So, we’re nearly there. And there’s a rainbow. So pretty. Hello sheepy. Stay. Okay. Don’t stay. Hey. Hey. We’re just rolling into the campsite. Hallelujah. Oh, what a day. It’s been good, hasn’t it? It’s been really good. We’ve had nearly every weather apart from snow. Yeah. Sun, rain, hail. Well, we’ve made it. The tent tent that came out weird is bone dry. So, tail fin, your thumbs up from me. I’ve got my big Agnes. Agnes is dry, which was recommended to me. Steamboat Springs Co. Don’t know if that’s part of the name. It’s a two mana and it weighs 1.3 kg. Marvelous. And uh I got it in an offer cuz it should have been 500 quid. I got it for 240 which I thought it did pain me to see that balance go out the bank account but then I thought it’s two man me and card it’s £120 each. We do have a joint bank account but you know that’s how I rationalized it. So now the thing is we’re going to have to cut the camera and get this bad boy up because erected. We’ve never erected this before so it could take a while but we can do it Laura. Oh and my clothes are in here as well. Take them out. They’re dry. Marvelous. They’re dry too. Right. Let’s get this up. Right, we’ve got the internal part of the tent erected. It is looking quite snug, but it is a twoman, so we’ll have to cuddle. And now it’s time for Wait, it’s going to get It’s time for the tent to blow away. It’s up. Big Agny. It gave us a bit of aggro. She did, but it’s up now. It’s flapping a little bit on the sides, and it looks very, very snug for a twoman, but we’ll be okay. Great. We did it. And we did it in What time is it now? Started at 4:57 and it’s 5:13. So, it only took us, you know, um 20 minutes. Yeah. Too bad actually. Oh, lot less than 20. Laura 0313. Oh, that was good. Very good. I don’t know why I just said that. 0313. I’m trying food. 13 minutes. 16 minutes. Laura, I got there in the end. Oh my goodness. This is the best end ride ever. Wow. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. Wow. We’ve had a shower. We freshened up. We’re having a cur. Oh my goodness. Everything on. We’ve hit the jackpot, Laura. Look at the Jackie. Jackie Jackie Weaver. Jackie Weaver. No authority. I have got authority here with my authority to devour with that fine animal. Right. We have had a lovely evening and it’s now time to cocoon as I now am in my tent. Thanks for that closeup, Laura. I’m really snug in here. We watched a really good film about a couple that bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike bike pack with their kids and Kyle that’s given me ideas for if we ever start a family. So if you’re watching this you’ll be carrying our kids come out again. That’s my meal worm finger. Um but yeah, it’s been such a good day. Feel snug as a bug. I look like a meal worm actually. I look like um a caterpillar that’s not hatched out into a butterfly yet. But tomorrow I will be because there’s a name for that. There’s um I’m going to cocoon out into the rain because tomorrow we’ve got 30 mi apparently in the downpour rain. So that’ll be the next episode. So if you’ve enjoyed today, then hopefully you enjoy that one, too. Yeah. Oh, and if you can, I’m going to really want to do this. Can you tap your little pinky on subscribe cuz that would really help me. You don’t have to. But yeah, thank you so much for watching, Laura. Hang on. Anything any anything to add? Thanks for watching. Goodbye. Oh, and thanks for tailing for such a lovely event. It’s been really nice. And for that curry, whoever cooked that curry, you are sent down from heaven cuz that was lovely. That’s delicious. Right, we’re going to go now cuz we need to get some shut eyee. And as as my dad would say, we need to get some catnip. Good night. Goodbye. I’m concerned about where I put my water bottle now. You had it a minute ago, did I? I’m concerned if it’s in the tent or out the tent is the same thing. I don’t want It’s actually really warm in here, though. It’s like a sauna. I have bought all my layers and I don’t actually don’t think I need them. Right.

wooo Shenanigans with Laura! 😁
Love how chill this video is 😍 I do something similar on my channel with peaceful rides through Shiraz.❤❤❤
Hi Amy me and my wife watch all your videos and both think you are amazing after all your well documented struggles, my wife has issues regarding her skin. She has asked if you could tell her what make up you use as she thinks you look amazing.
Quel beau paysage🤩
Fenton Fenton classic . Has Laura got a channel I can subscribe to
Great adventure ! Always makes me lough you have such great character 😁 have to understand there was moments where the street looked so slippery ! I always end up and walk its the safest way for sure 😄 take care for now and stay safe ! 🙏
Lol " i love a good pear "……. great video…. bad weather , good weather … laughter . sheep., and fantastic views….
Well done ladies, that was brutal😂That is what you call a changeable day, some of those views were just spectacular👌I felt sorry for that poor farmer herding the sheep🤣I had planned a ride for Sunday, around 70 miles and ended doing almost 103😉It was one of those rides where everything just clicked and I didn't want to stop, it was the polar opposite of your ride with amazing Scottish country roads and no rain😊
The cross tent pole was attached upside down ⛺🙂
More great fun with Laura 🚲😁👍
Brilliant video
Beautiful Amy ❤
looks like a great time. well done to you and Laura for the adventure.
🚵♂️👍
minus the rain, that route looks incredible
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Laura in Norfolk the other weekend. What a marvellous human she is. Well done ladies. Keep being fabulous.
I’m sure I’ve read if you see a sheep with its feet in the air, you’re supposed to get help/ alert someone, as they’re usually not dead…just catatonic 🤔
you two ladies are the best 😊love the video always having fun which is the main thing, welcome to wales 🌧😂 you both were not too far from where i live, love the pinny and laura cannondale, i just bought a new ultra grit with sram force to do more gravel events and bike packing, what jacket are you wearing amy looks great? im looking forward to next video😉 ❤ from sunny wales

The girl who 🐑 rode the mens TDF + all the transitions 🐑 Worried about the perception of certain 🐑 that 🐑 she doesn't ride enough ! 😂 🐑 🙉
Chester, have a word with Amy 🐑🐑
🐕
Always wary of sniper sheep taking you out on a descent.
Amy, you should try a beginner cyclocross class to build your confidence on those muddy parts.
Everyone likes it when Laura shows up
Awesome little adventure Amy. Love you two together.
I love how you will ride across continents and over mountains, but when faced with a muddy puddle you find your limit haha.
I sincerely believe you should ride bikes naked! You would get 1 million followers a day! 😮😮😮
Smashed it 👊
All the sheep reminding me of the goat attacking a rider on the Giro stage in Albania. Great video!
Your weather is genuinely schizophrenic
Google AI Overview – "Wiki wiki" is a Hawaiian phrase meaning "quick, fast, or quickly". A good attribute for a cyclist.
That's must have been a really fun but all that mud is definitely not my cup of tea.💯👌🏻✌🏻🚴♂️
Good night nice bike ride Amy
Great entertainment 😂❤
🤣The sheep !!
CO is an abbreviation for Colorado. Steamboat Springs is a town in the Colorado mountains
wow what a fantastic vlog… my psychiatrist has told me to cycle as it would make me smile as i told her your story.. thank you for giving me a dream
We live on such a beautiful planet. Thanks for showing some of it to us! Also, as someone with lots of experience sleeping in a tent with a puffy jacket as my pillow, let me just say, even the cheapest inflatable camping pillow from Decathlon is a step up. 🙂
Edit: Oh, and I wanted to say, there's absolutely no shame in hike-a-biking up (or down) a hill. And good on you for riding within your limits!
That was wett, but the sheeps where so funny 🤣
So funny watching the end with the tent Steam Boat Springs Colorado ( CO ) USA state code !!
What a Beautiful scenery day ❤❤🎉🎉 Thanks For the Vlog.Thank You Laura too 😂😂
6:23 Poor Laura is having to put more effort in as her jacket hood is acting like a mini parachute 😂
That looked great even with the rain. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Love the two scousers
Herding sheep? Looks more like herding cats!!🤣😂🤣
Absolutely beautiful place to ride! I hope I get to ride there one day!
Hi Amy and Laura, one of the best videos I have watched on your brilliant channel. The sheepies and the farmer was so funny. The hills were very steep and muddy. Not surprised you had to walk at times. Quite a lot of extra weight on your bike with the camping gear. The other day, I picked up two bags of pebbles for my garden, 10kg each bag.The weight made a huge difference on my comuter bike,so I know the difference weight on your bike feels, especially up hills. Saturday I cycled along the rail trail to Warburton and did157kms,getting better. Hope you do some more adventures with Laura, really enjoyed watching. The seanery was spectacular, and you both made the best of the weather well done. Glad you enjoyed your adventure Amy,Laura is a good sport too. All the best Tim ❤.
I’ve got a Big Agnes bike packing tent. 2 man that when packed fits between the drops.
I used it when I used to ride adventure motorcycles. I gave that all up last year for more bicycling time.
The more dirt you ride, the better rider you will become.
Great video, love to see you smiling and relaxed. That sun after rain was glorious! Thanks!😊
7:45 “at least we’ve got waterproofs”, while matey behind”s waterproofs are starting not to be 😂
I accidentally stumbled upon that hill with the Church half way up. The camera does not do it justice!!! Its a wall. Even after the church, the hill just keeps on giving. At some point in history, the locals would have gone to that church every week. Next time you are there pop in. It stays open for visitors. That was in 2020. It was the last time I put my foot down on a hill. Its a real charmer
