Hi,
I recently acquired this Holdsworth Special Bike and I am trying to get it cleaned up and back on the road. I am slowly working on it and really enjoying the process, but I am relatively new to this and wanted to ask some advice.
My first question is about rust spots. As you can see in the pictures there are a fair amount of small rust spots on the frame. I would like to remove them and cover the spots with some sort of protective layer so that it won’t rust over again. I’m not really particular about trying to match paint colors, I just want to protect from further rust as best I can. Any suggestions on what to use?
Secondly, I wanted to know if anybody knew the year of the bike. I think that it is from 1981 based off of my research but if anybody has any other insight I would really appreciate it.
Finally, there are small little additions on the frame around where the wheels are. Does anybody know what they are for?
