We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. Eh? What’s up guys? I hope everyone is good out there It’s Monday morning, our bike is all packed and
we’re just getting ready to leave Vienna It’s been a while since I cycled with that
much weight on my bike so fingers crossed we find it easy but the route we’re going, we’re going to be heading towards Slovakia, along the side of the Danube and it is just, it’s flat, so there’ll be no hills for the first I think 400 miles so we’re laughing it’ll give me a wee head start getting pack into fitness So Aye, let’s start cycling and enjoy the journey Hello Not fancying pushing the bike down here It is quite heavy But we’ll give it a go Set up the camera here,
just in case we fall So we can laugh at it later Perfect Whooo hooo hooo, easy Eh? How was that? How was that? Put that back up Good girl Right so it’s 12 o’clock now, we’ve cycled for an hour we’ve just got outside of Vienna on the outskirts of it We found the Danube which is what we’re gonna be following Aye, this path is well …
there’s a hundred of nudists So I didn’t expect that but
I’m gonna join them I’m gonna go for a wee swim in the river
and then have a wee bit of lunch and then keep on cycling Bratislava is 35 miles away,
but I think we’re gonna do it we’re gonna camp tonight and then we’re gonna check out the city tomorrow So we’ve got this over Nala just to keep the sun off her She’s open if she wants to come out But aye, she’s just focused on some naked people which are away-way along there So aye, let’s go for a swim Ohhh yes, beautiful So for lunch today, some garlic soup which I absolutely love after my time in Austria Beautiful Put that on there Just let that boil first You okay? how heavy the bike is Anyway, lunch is finished We’re just gonna crack on, follow the Danube along and then find a nice camping spot hopefully near the river Aye, get a nice swim, let Nala run about, she’s asleep at the minute I’ve got that over her,
just to keep the sun off her And yeah, that’s about it
Let’s go So cycling past this pond and my first thought was “That water looks disgusting” And then next thing I know A kingfisher flies from that wee bridge, down, grabs a fish, then flies straight across there Quite a fast wee thing,
100% was a kingfisher And I’ve been wanting to see a kingfisher basically my w hole life So day has been made for me, aye
Fairly chuffed You coming? Look at the apples Look at Nala looking at me She’s just there She’s like
“Where you going?” Anyway, I’m gonna go down here, pick myself a couple apples Hopefully Please do not break this branch Nala, oi Nala Nala

it’s an embankment of nettles So that camping spot is not happening tonight So get back on the bike
