I have the opportunity to buy this ([https://www.pinkbike.com/news/review-giant-trance-2.html](https://www.pinkbike.com/news/review-giant-trance-2.html)) – the price seems good – are there any reasons not to get this? I have a hard-tail but this would be my first full suspension bike. I’m not a beginner, but not hardcore either – light trails and tracks really.
Thanks!

as long as its not totally clapped out, I’d say its an excellent price. SLX 11sp + brakes is solid, suspension is solid. geo is what you would expect from Giant circa 2018 but it should still be very rideable. the standards are modern so you should be able to upgrade it a little bit if you like the bike, or once you decide you want a better FS it will make a great backup bike to keep for your friends to ride.
That’s a great price, almost too good. might be worth a closer look.
yeah that’s an excellent price for that bike, I’d almost think something was wrong with it, or someone is trying to scam you. I would think a bike like that would be $1000-1200 easily still?
yup. go for it. don’t think about it. go grab it now.
That’s solidly in “stolen bike pricing” territory. Do your research, ask for serial number, possibly meet at a bike shop
Ya that’s a steal. Look that shit over or have someone inspect it. That’s like too low man
Somethings off. That would still be an amazing deal even at twice the price.
Great price on a good bike. Agree with others that it does seem cheap. In good condition I think that bike would be worth about $1000, assuming it’s all the stock parts. Double check that it isn’t stolen and really give it a good look over.
Check if and when the pivots and shock/fork were serviced or you may need to spend another $500 on an overall, but still with it at that price.
