I’ve got a Canyon Grizl CF SL 6 AXS running SRAM Apex XPLR, and I’m looking to pick up a second wheelset just for road tires.
What’s confusing me is the freehub compatibility for the SRAM PG-1231 XPLR cassette.
– Canyon’s website says my current wheels use a Shimano freehub.
– Some sources say the XPLR cassette needs an XDR driver.
– Others claim it works fine on Shimano HG.
I’m getting mixed answers everywhere. Can anyone here clarify which freehub I actually need?

Yes, the apex level cassette runs on a Shimano HG freehub body type.
There are two types of this cassette, the 11-44 works with Shimano HG freehub body, the 10-44 needs XDR. I also bought a second pair of wheels for my Grizl and wanted faster gears so I went with the XDR one on the other pair.
