Hi on my ride last weekend my handlebars snapped. From what I’ve found out is that most industry handlebars are 31.8m diameter, I’ve looked at the sworks shiv manual and the point of attachment to the stem is definitely not 31.8m. Is there an adapter a bike shop would be able to install so I could replace these? Am I cooked?

Iirc, that stem clamps to a regular 1-1/8″ steer tube, so in theory you could replace the whole cockpit with something less proprietary, but at a minimum you would lose the head tube fairing and the cable routing definitely might get funky.
If you’re in the US, someone on eBay is selling [one of these base bars for a very reasonable price](https://www.ebay.com/itm/197504313814); that might be your best bet, all else being equal. Still gonna be a bitch to install, but way less expensive that replacing the cockpit entirely or a new bike.
This is the worst era of road bikes in history, unfortunately. So much unnecessary proprietary silliness. Worse than the current scourge of integrated cables in headsets.
There is a solution. I don’t know what it is exactly. It’s probably going to messy and silly. You need a good shop with good mechanics and service writers to sort this out. You aren’t going to solve this online.
