Howdy! I'm in the market for a bike. Mostly for Home <-> Work commute but I don't like road-bikes, and I'd like to leave the option for light trail biking (nothing serious, I understand the limitations).
The area I live in is hilly, and the roads can be a bit rough here and there. And the used bike market is pretty dry.
My budget is around $500, and browsing some subs, the Giant Escape Disc 2, and Trek 2 have come up and are around that price point
A few questions:
- Are these reasonable options?
- Is there another model(s) I should be considering?
- Anything else I should know / consider?
