  1. Beautiful paint on that on the only things that might stop someone would be tire clearance up to 45mm and looks really close between the tire and seat tube with 45’s on and there are no mounting points as well for racks. Tbh, 45’s are the biggest I would need for the gravel I ride so I say go for it.

This one has the unique paint set. Cervelo really did something else.

But if the bike fits. I’d buy it. I love my Cervelo Aspero, wish I had the Aspero-5 but I don’t really care because I bought it for the color too.

Also had no idea you could squeeze a 45c in the back. I’d probably never do that but still cool to see!

so long the deal is good and the size is right then go for it if you have been looking for an upgrade similar to what it offers. bike sale season is up on us though so maybee there is something else that might be around the corner + a warranty what ever that might be worth to you.

  4. I have an Aspero and I love it, but they are heavy compared to pretty much every other bike in the category and they are limited on the clearance.

If you’re after a sub 8kg gravel bike that can run 2.2” tyres, this ain’t it.

  5. it looks like the older model of the aspero-5 which I believe has a max tire clearance of 42mm. Also, doesn’t have UDH which for me a a deal breaker. You can squeeze more, but it would be close

  6. As long as the size is right that color is the greatest one ever. Absolutely buy it!

And as others have said, this is the first gen Aspero so the tire clearance is slightly smaller than the second gen but imo it’s more than enough clearance.

  7. The way I see it, the aspero is the perfect bike for non racers who are serious about road riding especially long distances. If you just ride on the weekends and dont plan to race why beat up your back on an aero frame with maybe 32 mm tires. Why not just put out the same power getting the same workout but ride a little slower due to a less aero position and more comfortable 40mm tires. 40 mm rs ones are still pretty dang fast on the road.

That combined with the gravel capabilities and its a perfect non racer performance bike.

I will say it reminds me of when i used to under bike a hybrid in Colorado while doing gravel descents its stiff and jarring on rough stuff but thats part of keeping things interesting. Also I have reserve 32 wheels on which people say are stiff like a road wheel so other wheels may help compliance.

That paint job looks great. If you like it buy it!

Follow up question: thinking to buy the latest aspero, what’s everyone’s thoughts on doubling it as road bike and using it in fondos as well as gravel races?
