Is this bike a good choice for a triathlon and is the price fair for what i’m getting

i’m looking for a bike to start training for a triathlon next year is this Giant Defy Advanced a good choice and would you pay £465 for it? it is 7 years old but from the description it’s doesn’t look like there’s any major issues with it. I’ve seen that new they are selling for just over £1000 so i feel like this is a good deal. If this bike isn’t a good idea any recommendations would be much appreciated
