Asked the day before yesterday "Help me decide on the route" and got many good answers. Thanks for that!

The OVERWHELMING consensus here and also on r/fahrrad was that I should take the "red route", along the west coast and then inland.[1]

From Copenhagen to Helsingborg and then via the Kattegattleden to Gothenburg. There then "turn right" 🙂 towards Vättern and at the northern tip near Askersund turn towards Motala.

In summer (until August 1st, according to r/sweden) there would be a ferry across the lake. But, well, not anymore now… That's why this detour.

That's the "fundamental" change to my original "red route". Several people mentioned that the Göta canal is good. So I'll ride along there to then meet up with EuroVelo 10 at Söderköping.

Then all the way to Stockholm.

On the screenshot it's the "red/blue dotted" route. The blue one would be EV10 only.

Let's just hope, that the weather will be good, or, at least, not terrible 🙂
