A cheap starter

I’m 66 coming back at the sport from a 10 year hiatus.

Holy shit I feel like rip van winkle, after seeing the dramatic changes to mountain bikes, new technologies, apps like Strava connected health apps, sensors, supportive gear, bike parks new trail systems. Damn I regret stepping away.

To restart I picked up this 2022 Kona Cinder Cone for $300 It’s tubeless, dropper post ready. 1×11 gearing, hydraulic disc brakes, tapered head tube. 27.5” RockShox 100mm

As I recondition back in, I’ll save up for a sweet XC. I’m too old to do downhill, can’t risk the injuries. As we just don’t heal the same as we get older.
