[Music] Recently, I had way too much work. I was also trying to keep this YouTube channel alive and not skip training, but I just kept getting more and more exhausted. So, I decided enough is enough. [Music] I grabbed my bike, packed all the bags with what I needed, and just left. Since the Lake District is about 350 km away, first I had to cover some distance just to get there. The plan was to start on Saturday and be back on Monday. I was supposed to leave in the morning, but of course I overslept, so I rolled out much much later. I wanted to stick to gravel roads to avoid traffic. And this part of Poland is famous for its endless, beautiful gravel. But my first attempt off road didn’t go too well. Deep sand forced me to push the bike. Still, nothing could ruin this trip for me. [Music] First bigger town was Mongov. Probably my favorite around here. I keep coming back every year. The road was just stunning, but hey, see it yourself. [Music] First snack break. I still had sandwiches from home and found some big logs to sit on. [Music] Unfortunately, they were covered in ants and they wanted to eat, not to be eaten. Luckily, a few meters away, it was much cornered. [Music] [Music] It started getting dark and I knew I had to find the spot for the night. In Poland, there are actually special designated areas where you are all to wild camp as long as you follow a few simple rules. The place I found was almost too good to be free, but it was too late to keep searching. I asked the people already there if I would be on their way, and they turned out super friendly. So, I pitched my tent and set up camp [Music] in the evening. They even invited me to their fire, offered me some tea, and were really curious about my trip. They were locals, not tourists, which made it even nicer. That day I only did around 70k, but I was completely wiped out. Time for sleep. [Music] Next morning, I woke up just before them, made myself coffee and chilled by [Music] Then some breakfast. packed everything up and hit the road again. [Music] [Applause] [Music] The road the next day was bumpy and prettier, but it was insanely busy. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Hello. Hello. Hey yucky. Oh yeah, I wanted to take it easier. So I found another amazing spot. It was actually taken care by someone. And to get there, I had to cross the private land. Luckily, I got permission, but I still had to cross a huge field to reach it. And it was so worth it. The place was amazing. [Music] week swim setup camp and I was craving a proper fire since the night before [Music] cloud. [Music] Hey [Music] On the way, I grabbed some sausages, made a fire, grilled them. [Music] That second day I ended up riding about 100k and I felt it in my legs. [Music] [Music] [Music] The next morning, I didn’t want to leave. Honestly, I could have stayed there forever. [Music] in Santa Anna blowing in the wind. You cheat in class and wonder when you could be a but I couldn’t. I had to get back home and boils with a crush on Jen. You wondering [Music] blowing in the wind. You wonder when [Music] she grew up on camp, stole her books at random. That was the first time. The bike had been through a lot just like me. I washed it, cleaned the box, and now it’s time to return to the rat race. [Music] This was the locust [Music] of her demise. You caught her eyes, her glassy eyes, the surprise to see the sire at night when you watch the sun on the hospital. And then she grabbed you all that you asked for. And don’t forget [Music] my [Music] time you wish you were there. [Music]
