if you think vikings were a hollywood film, the fact is Icelanders have pretty bad genetics on average, they tend to have a lot of health issues.

It’s not that section of land it’s an amalgamation of invasion insemination and appropriation. A lot of the Vikings in the northeast fled to their region. That’s why you get a ton of super tall people. They just got them genetics

Vikings has nothing to do with their size. Viking were regular farmers who were as big or not much bigger than the average male today. The reason they have gotten bigger is because cold environments cause people to get bigger to hold more fat reserves, on top of the fact over time they got more added to their nutritional intake. You can buy things there that would’ve only been able to grow somewhere warm. Before you had to bring that back with you and there’s no guarantee it will grow in your cold environment. And likely women mating practices after enough time contributes as well. Cheating with Thor and placing the responsibility on the average vikingr. It may not seem like that will effect anything but even if it’s just 1/5 doing that for a few generations that highly skews the demographic
It’s diet. Very protein rich and good food when growing up during adolescence as well as growing up in the weather. Many other places are very Carb based
