Bikepacking in 1897

Saw the other historical post, thought this would be interesting. This is what the 25th infantry “Buffalo Soldiers” rode for 1900 miles from Montana to Missouri.

Saw it at the General Pershing boyhood home museum in Leclede MO. They passed thru Leclede on their journey, plus Pershing had an interesting history commanding black soldiers.
