So, hi everyone. My name is Alex and I’m originally from Surrey, just southeast of London. My parents are originally from London actually and moved out to the countryside years ago, but uh London pulled me back in. And I originally trained as an actor at drama school in London before getting into tour guiding about 6 years ago. And just last year, I qualified as an official City of Westminster guide, which is why I get to wear this shiny badge around now. and I love being able to both be a tour guide and an actor and now a theater director as well. What do I love most about London, but I think for me it’s the fact that there is always something else to discover. There’s literally so much history over two millennia worth of history. And there’s so much culture, so much art, so much going on, so many cool restaurants and bars and markets. And you can’t do it all in a lifetime. It’s bottomless. And I just love that there’s always something else to discover. You think you know London and then something else appears. So, my favorite stop on the tour is a place that even many Londoners I’ve taken there haven’t discovered, and it’s the Italian Gardens near Kensington Palace. And I’m not going to describe it too much for you, but it’s a really beautiful little garden with a lake, some ponds, and it’s a lovely kind of hidden corner of Hyde Park. My style as a tour guide, I like to have fun. I like to tell stories. I like to give you history, but I also like to find out what you’re interested in. And I like to, I guess, connect with you and make it an experience rather than a history lecture. You know, I want you to leave the tour knowing a bit more than you did before, but also to just have an experience you’re going to remember cuz that’s why you coming to London, right? You want to remember it for the rest of your life. So, I hope that my style is going to help you get a memorable experience. What I enjoy about guiding with FOF Bike Tours, I mean, I’m I’m sitting on a bike right now that we use, the Super 73, and I mean, look at it. It’s pretty cool. They’re really fun to ride, really comfy. I don’t see any other tour groups using bikes like this, so it’s pretty unique. And you can cover so much more ground than you can do just by walking. So, I mean, what’s not to like? You get to see way more and it’s really comfy and it’s a cool bike to ride. Why you should book a tour with me? Cuz I’m the best. Kidding. No. I like to think I’ll give you an experience you wouldn’t get with, say, most other guides with other walking tour companies. You’re going to get something memorable, fun, full of stories and insightful history. And I think we’re just going to have a great time.
