uh if he can keep it going at this rate as he has been over the last couple hundred meters then he should be okay for the podium we can see you know coming back into the wheel of Seb Co once again and Henley know he has to just give it all here but look at Jonas Vingo he seems to be the most comfortable of them all here in this group knows he’s almost home the end of the world there’s in sight Madrid’s over the mountain the antenna is there as well and now Ving will attack Yonas Vor riding away from the competition All the talk of everybody taking it to him today. He sat down and sat by and watched them all try to up the pace and with one upping of it himself. He’s able to put a distance into everybody. Vag steering a march on the toughest of the gradients at the 20% section. He put his foot down. the end of the world to quite literally there up in sight and yasor is riding away to secure the wet sper. Yes. Well, we see there that the way he was following Hinley when he went in the attack, he didn’t have to do that because Almeida is the one he has to mark here. But it looked like that he was comfort enough when he was doing that and thinking of the stage win. And now we see now he’s the one just putting in this effort here. And yeah, you can see the way the gap is growing out here and uh yeah, inside the kilometer to go here. It looks like that he’s going to stage take the stage win, but also he’s going to win this Vela for sure here on this uh final big mountain on this Va. Last week he was ill. Last week he was in survival mode. The teams who had tried to take it to him went off chasing stage wins. Not put under enough pressure maybe. Well, that doesn’t matter because Vu is riding away and he’s showing himself to be the class act he is. It’s going to be grand tour number three for him. And the rest are fighting it out to be on the podium with him. And you have to say in the final kilometer now, Tom Pitcock is almost home to Kus is going to further move up the former winner and he’s got the best seat in the house here. John Cus is in that group watching and he’s watching his mate ride away to victory. Yes. Well, uh, Seuss is a position he’s been in many times in the past and, uh, he’s in a real position here, but, you know, he just had to follow here and mark and made and uh, leave his lead or leave the red jersey just go on and take the stage honors here and we can see the gap is that they’re growing out to be quite a one. Still same situation, four chasers here. Pitch still in contact here. And yeah, at this point it doesn’t look like in the top of the general classification. Uh things are going to change a lot between the uh uh top four riders. Look at this view. No supporters allowed in the final kilometer today for safety reasons and environmental reasons. This is a protected space, but the view is of a very steep ramp to the finish. Vor takes it on with a gap you probably couldn’t have imagined a moment ago when they were all putting on the pressure. But it took one acceleration from him to change things. And Yonas Vor away. And look at who’s coming back here. We salute you Matthew Ricky. He will be being told to put as much time behind into Bellari as he can because he could be about to win the white jersey. Almeida fighting and brickello his rivals behind him. Here comes the overwhelming favorite before the race. The way he hasn’t ridden away like he has done in past races had people thinking and wondering. But this Malisa bike for much of the race with just six riders have helped him have managed it. And it’s going to be stage win number three and 300 meters away from securing a third grand tour. The moment of relief, a look behind. He knows he’s done it. Yas V. end of the wa and barring incident or accident tomorrow vure will win the bua spa it’s been survival at times about grit and determination too incredibly hard fought by visa bike and with this surreal scene at the end of what at times has been a surreal race. Vigor is about to secure another big step on his cycling legacy. Two tours now espa and perhaps next year a date with the judor also awaits. One final look and vigor finishes the job. He does so in his own style. You can hear the cry of victory and it is victory for Vor on the ball of El Mundo. In Madrid tomorrow, the red jersey will be his almeas across the line. Cus comes with him. There’s Hindi and here is Pitcock. draw made exceptional, but he won’t help thinking what might have been at key points in this race if the whole team of stage winning superstars had been 100% devoted to his GC cause. One of his teammates was superb there today. The rest of the team today gave their all too, but on days there have to be questions. There is vi who will win the king of the mountains. But for Almea, it is an achievement. He’s now up there with Agustinho. Almeida in his own right, a Portuguese legend.

Vingegaard 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻, excellent final
This whole vuelta Jonas didnt looked he was fighting for life unlike when he is against Tadej. Maybe he couldve won by a larger margin if he was pushed to the edge but we wont know.
Great stage, this is my favorite type of road racing. I love Sean Kelly, his accent and his sage commentary. The main guy, what ever his name is, is too overly dramatic for me. It is hard to listen to his declarative style that sounds like he is constantly informing us of a nuclear attack.
UAE must have run out of "armstrong juice". the last week, they looked beat…LOL
I think the argument that Jonas is doped up like Pogacar can be thrown out the window now. He didn’t win by 10 minutes and take 6 stages without his biggest rival there. It was still a race.
nothing new, Vingegard first and them the ''anothers" inclusive João Almeida, i don't know why the press insisting in João Almeida for wining a grand tour…the men not give anymore than today and another's day's, that's it and point
👍👍👍👌👌👌
A good thread if you want to block keyboard warriors.
Shame on him! He is on doping! Looks like Pantani, Lance Armstrong, Ulrich.
RICCITELLO! Coming up from behind, proving himself to be one of the best climbers in the world. I love to see it.
well deserved, well deserved!
As much of an Aussie as I am. Congrats to Pidcock on the podium. Wonderful work. Huge kahounas.
JONAS🎉🎉🎉
Why were there no spectators at the finish?
you have to question the d.s. of u.a.e. and how he managed this race. especially how they butchered the giro. they'd have lost the tour, except that pogi relied upon himself and not his "team."
VINGEGOAT 💪💪💪💪
Well done Tom proper Yorkshire grit
Calling out auyoso in the finish is great
It’s cool that Tom Pidcock has his own cycling channel.
The Mighty Vin
That gradient is a hard hike. Impossible on a bike, for mere mortals, that is.
I'm happy for tom
Jonas is a legend…
I am a huge Almeida fan but The best man won. He rode Smart and with 100% team support the entire vuelta. He was the best overall. Thank you João for all these days. Amazing stuff. You are our champion. We know you will come back even stronger next year. Thats what you do. Have a well deserved rest. Obrigado.
A great deal of noise is made about these ultra steep Vuelta stage finishes (Angliru, Bola Del Mundo etc.), but the reality is that they very rarely do anything meaningful to the GC; because they are so steep and all anyone can do is grind up them, you get very small time gaps. Contador said as much himself. In some ways they are spectacular and the race uses them to give it a certain identity as the GT with the steepest climbs, but I'm not convinced they make for great racing. They certainly don't make for tactically nuanced racing. I suspect this will be an unpopular opinion.
Jonas is a beast.
Another DISGRACEFUL day for the fool organizers and the pathetic complicit spanish gvmt…….what a joke
Jonas won fairly comfortably in the end. UAE could have made it a lot closer, but I think Jonas would have beaten Almeida anyway. he's simply stronger than anyone else in this race. so congrats to him.
Jonas is definitely one of the GOATs😍
This is nothing,I never believed j vegegard just he can win the tournament if pogi is not in their
Don't know why they put finish on the ramp today, usually they have the finish of 'bola de mundo' after the left hander on top, which is a more flat portion so that the riders don't stall on that final ramp and cause trouble to the one's still climbing.
Great flight out of everyone. Congrats to Jonas. Will deserved win. Great tonight by Pitcock. Also great fight from Riccitello to represent Israel-Premier Tech and USA.
Boring
Gnarly finish! At the end of a four hour race that must take every ounce of energy. Interesting to see Jonas on the S5 aero bike instead of the R5 climbing bike.
Hopefully, Genocide Premier Tech never returns to the Vuelta.
Fully deserved win for Jonas. Kudos.
Wadaheck is this climb mate.. my legs were hurting just watching
Missed coverage of second and third place..instead showed Jonas being pushed on bike well after the finish…that's amateur stuff right there
Johanus Hanson Vingegard is an alien. I wonder what if Pog was in this race.
That last stretch was more like a StairMaster session than cycling . Phew 😮.
Well done Jonas.
Great champions…insane climb,Congrats to Jonas,Joao and Tom.🫡i was at the Puerto de Naveserrada…couldn t go to the top…😢
what gearing jonas had to stay seated at 20% grade??
visma-lisabike know how to win big bike races
Please keep it real. Vingegaard was always protected by his team and could save his legs for those special crucial moments. Almeida got backstapped by his own team, riding mostly solo, finally he cracks. Vingegaard is now near his 2023 form but he and Pogacar are by far the best GC riders. If a Number 2 or 3 wants to challenge him, teamwork is necessary, but this is not for UAE.
.. i love riding and watching…big disgrace the grand tour operators dont genuinely support heart felt values and ban IPL under present circumstances
JV sits on wherls for 19 days has 1 attack and people say nothing .Hes garbage now .
Jonas and Visma going for the GC rather than stages. Just as Pogi went quiet for a while to consolidate the win in the TdF so did Jonas in the Vuelta. However, he absolutely cemented his reputation today, especially the way he pulled away at the end. Controlled ride throughout the Vuelta.
Jonas has proved he is the best rider, however, all the riders can hold their heads high on what has been a particularly grueling race. Congratulations to all of them. 👍😁
