Juani Uso sitting in second wheel followed by Mark Salair. It’s G Shartner and Jay Vine all up towards the front. Now we start to see Nicolo Burati distance as well as a number of riders from the Inos Grenaders. Everybody is on the limit now towards the top of this climb. Yangher towards the back and they’re just looking now for the gantry across all the little markers across the road to bring us to the end of Navasurada at this 6.9 km climb. Chicone out the saddle and continues with this pacemaking. Unfortunately, the protesters are in the middle of the road here on the approach to Gualad Mondo. Well, we’ve been asking the motorbike’s on the floor as well. I think the motorbike was had to come to a standill. The riders are getting through and the police are trying to move the protesters shouting at him. This is Lander and Lander. What is the situation here? Because I’ve just seen the red cars drop behind as well. Bernal, Chicone, and Leander and Lander I think is up the road. Lander is just measuring his effort. Benol looks like he may well be just not able to match the pace but Chicone out the saddle yet again. Fine tempo behind him. Almeida Wengerard Tullet Septus Pitcock Hson Ji Hindley behind him Richard and Felix Gal is under pressure the three and a halfk to go and Jay Vine is about to crash the breakaway. Look how rough the terrain is as they make that left hand sweeping left hand turn. It’s just a concrete a rough concrete. It all comes back together. Jay Vine just a little bit too fast around that turn for Almeida. Almeida leads from Bengard from Hindley from Pitcock from Setus. Almeida trying to get a little bit more acceleration. Hindley starts to make a move. Jai Hindley’s decided now is the time. He starts his acceleration. Pitcock now needs to worry. Wenger decides this is the time to deal the blow. And Almeida tries to respond now as Wenger gets onto the wheel of Hindley. And Pitcock starts to falter a little bit. Pitcock now is the rider who’s cracking a bit at the back under the pressure of Hindley. And Almeida doing his usual thing and pedalling his way back. Wenger is tucked in on the wheel. Pitcock is fighting. Almeida loses 2 3 m. Pitcock suddenly accelerates hard as they all come back. Hindley still pushing, still pressing, still asking questions. Wengerard is asking all of them and the red jersey looks to be the strongest of the top three right now on this mountain. was absolutely pit is stuck to the ground right now. The attack of the red jersey. Wengerard, well, everyone’s thinking he’s sick. Wenger now starts the move. The red jersey wants the triumph at the top of this final climb at Bowler Deondo. And Wengerard now starts his assault to put himself firmly as the winner of Lela. Look at the move of Wengerard. He now just rides away for him. It’s the lucky 13 for Yonas Fangard. Now there are no fans. It’s him and his breathing and the terrain to the top of the mountain. Pitcock is still fighting. Hindley is still trying to put him to the sword. 1,000 m remain. From the cheers, the applaud to the dead silence. It’s weird, isn’t it? It’s a very very weird feeling, a weird sensation, an incredible incredible performance from Yonas Fingore across the last three weeks and in particular this final climb in a moment where he could ride defensively. He’s gone on the offensive and gone for stage glory. Yas Fergard reaches the top of Ba Mondo, the winner of Lela and he celebrates there in the red and white jersey. What a performance by Yonas Wengerard in Lavala. Across the line in second is Sepkus. Third is Jai Hindley. Pitcock just a few seconds behind. Then is Xiao Ma. He loses more time, but he’ll hold on to second. And then Richard is across the line. He will end up in fifth place in this race cuz Pelazari is a long way behind.

  1. I've been critical of Vingegaard in the past but today he slapped his dominance on the Vuelta and rode like a champion. He was spent at the end to the point that he kissed his Right ring finger!😅
