Rode 500k through the Midwest, best trip of my life. These are a handful of quick photos, the trip itself was 2/3 trail and the remainder on pavement. All through the hottest heat wave all year lol. It was such a relief and fun time everywhere I camped. I’ve been dealing with healthy issues and long term injuries, and was actually quite anxious regarding this trip. I also didn’t have the resources to set up real gear so I made my own. I had an absolute blast, found some peace, made great friends, and most of all began to believe in myself again.
Sometimes it’s best to throw caution to the wind and say fuck it, here we go! Have fun! Thank you r/bikepacking for all of the valuable and accommodating advice and good place to be.
Happy riding, be easy 🖖
