Trying to fit Sachs-Maillard 8speed freewheel but it sits too close to the right dropout with no clearance for the chain. The rear hub is Mavic 500 variant with sealed bearings that I read somwhere can be re-spaced. Someone with knowledge of Mavic 500 rear hub please chime in.
Can I re-space sealed bearing on the axle? Or do I add spacers on the drive side?
