Hi fellow gravel enthusiasts!
I have a specialized epic hardtail comp and I just do not go MTBing anymore. But I love gravel riding and I live in a fantastic area for long gravel / XC treks. Unfortunately, the current set up is both slow and uncomfortable for a prolonged time in the saddle, so I want to convert her to a gravel bike. I’ve seen posts and vids where this has been done but am still not sure how to approach it. Can anyone be of assistance? The specs for my current bike are attached, I guess I just want to know what I would be looking at replacing?? Ideally, I want a “gravel bike” that can keep pace on gravel rides but also has the capacity to tackle easy XC terrain. Specs are above!!
