I just sunk over $1000 into a 100% custom Subrosa/Shadow build. I spent a lot of time tracking down parts that are discontinued to match color ways. Now I’m completely bored with it and wanna sell it. I wanna build a Fiend Mills but I made a deal with my old lady that I wouldn’t start a build without selling one. Anyone else get bored with their builds real fast?

Yes. and I stopped doing that by riding my bike more instead of obsessing over part sourcing.

Plus it looks sick – who cares if you’re bored of it, every time someone new sees it it’s the first time they are seeing it, so think of that
If getting bored of something is an issue go classic. All black parts, colored frame, maybe chrome bars. I like minimal stickers and logos.

Build it to ride it not look at it. If you actually use it you won’t get bored of it. Just like cars i always see more parts and frames that make me want to build one again. But mine is dialed and you can’t ride two bikes at once. Plus you never build a bmx with the intention of getting money back out of it. Resale is like 50%
Yes and no I get bored with plain my bike is not plain and it’s been in the same state for a couple years with the exception of stuff like grips or tires
