  1. Drove back in the days an hour to see it displayed at a dealer.
Some years ago I saw one it often just parked on the side of the road entering Geneva. Awesome car, remains a gorgeous appearance.

  2. Tiff is also an ex-F1 driver. Although he only did 12 laps until his engine failed and didn't qualify for the second race.

  3. When the bottom dropped out September of '08. Cash became king and there were 2 for sale in Texas for. $150,000 each. OH. WELL. !!!!!

  4. When driving in the South of France, I always avoid driving in MC – terrible traffic and roads too small for modern cars.

  5. Fantastic to see proper drivers reviewing proper cars with intelligence and relevant knowledge and experience, instead of the nouveau riche wanna be racers just showing off the wallets and ignorance combined with lack of skills and understanding. Good job Tiff and Thierry. Look forward to seeing more of the same.

  6. In an early Top Gear test, Tiff reviewed the 220 and it had a clip with Martin Brundle driving and the cat convertors removed ( legal in England at the time ) and it hit 217mph at Nardo which is the equivalent to 223mph on a straight flat road.

  7. As much as I adore the styling and looks of the XJ220 (and its impressive top speed), a supercar requires at the very least 8 cylinders IMHO.

  8. There is an XJ220 in our local JLR showroom , i have to get a closer look at it.

Also, you notice how BMW drivers are the same the world over, that 5 series driver obviously had somewhere to be.

  9. Great video. I love Monaco. On a Sunday in July 2020 I managed a personal lap record of 4 minutes 30 seconds in a rental Opel diesel. No tourists crossing the roads (due to covid), no traffic (due to the weekend) and only one red light to contend with. I doubt I'll ever beat that.

  10. I saw one once around 1993, pulled out of a lane in Hertfordshire, looked sort of normal until you see it side on, so long and the back, I didn't sound like a supercar, but it seemed pretty quick as it stopped at a junction and turned right. Was something ill never forget.

  11. Recession led to everybody trying to dump their purchase because of the change in engine. My boss at the time had one on order as he couldn’t afford his divorce this became a non purchase!

  12. Tiffany Dell still a thing? Never forget seeing him flounce through the pits full temper tantrum, only to strut straight into a large muddy puddle. 😂

  13. The XJ220 is the reason I joined the motor trade. At university in the early 90s I walked into a newspaper shop and saw a copy of Auto Express with this beautiful car on its front cover. I was smitten! ❤

  14. Tiff, the ultimate cool dad ! Others talk shit, with a cobwebbed ego, ready to reavel it at will, whereas, Tiff is so much more real ! 👏

  15. T Hairy Bootson
    Alan Phosphate
    Nigel Mainsail

just some of the drivers I can remember from Lotus Turbo Challenge, Great game.
