I found a Giant Revolt 1 2021 for sale at €950:
• Condition: decent overall, just a couple of cosmetic scratches.
• Claimed mileage: around 2000 km.

For reference, the brand new Giant Revolt 1 2025 is currently on sale for about €1600.

Do you think €950 is a fair price for the 2021 model, or would it make more sense to stretch the budget for the new 2025 version?

that 48t chainring is not in decent condition and i guess it might need a new chain to. so 950 is a bit much for me. if you can stretch it since you also get a better groupset on the 25 it will be nice or try and se what you can get the 21 down to.

If you can pay less for this one it’s ok

New is nice especially with gravel bikes where the components take a beating from being operated in filth at all times

Maybe check this one over and see what is worn out.

Saving money buying used is great but if you’re putting hundreds in it to get it to like new mechanical condition it’s no bargain for you.

Tires, chains and cables may well be perished after 4 years of use and this adds up fast

  3. I wouldn’t. If you can stretch the budget to fit a new one, consider stretching your used budget to get something with nicer components.

  4. Maybe the market in Canada is different, but I would not pay that for a used Revolt from 4years ago… I actually have a 2021 Revolt and I love it, but got it for CAD$800 (EU 500) .
