That’s a very solid bike choice. You might find a better value at Canyon, but this is a fine bike. And really neat that it already comes with the dropper post.

They’re fine. I prefer the smaller steps between gears, and wider gear range of a 2x setup, but this is typical for a 1x.

Nice setup, except the wheels. Plan to change them after right away if you ask me. Both my wife and I have them and after 1000km the bearings sound like they will die next year on both bikes. Plus they are pretty heavy. I hope Cannondale will replace them on warranty.
Edit: And check the tubeless tape, on both bikes the tape was setup incorrect by WTB, which caused my tire to blow off the rim on 55psi pressure tubeless. Thankfully didn’t crash. The tape was in between hook and tire on one wheel of each bike.
