If there’s one thing I’m scared of most than cycling, it’s unfortunately riding outside. Because inside it’s safe, inside it’s secure, and inside I don’t have to deal with angry traders hing abuse at me or the unfortunate risk of my face being introduced to the pavement. However, today I had a plan because today I’m going to try and achieve something I’ve always wanted, a straa kin. Segment one, Brown Street. Known for skateboard bombs and being Newcastle’s steepest street, this 200 m 22.9% monster is not for the faint-hearted. But after averaging 776 watts over 37 seconds, it hit nearly 1,200. Did we manage to secure the comp? No. No, not today. Segment two, prison breakaway. Now, attempting to steal K right next to a police station might not be the best way to avoiding a fine, but this hill is short, sharp, and cruel enough to make me think my speed won’t be an issue. 15 second power, 1,50. On the K, I can miss it by 4 seconds. Segment three, anti parade. The final attempt, and probably the hardest and longest climbable attempt today. And after a minute and 5 seconds averaging 580 watts, we finally secured a Kin.

You are so amazing….a kiss.from italy😊
Bro you making me want to get into cycling
Once you ride outside, indoor becomes so boring. I cannot ride indoors. I get too bored and it's too easy to just get off the bike.
Outdoors is the place to be
Yew
Put on the burners
I pretty much only ride outdoors. To work, city roads, trails, county roads, highways.. Fuck it.
But as someone who struggled like shit on a 12% gradient, props to you for doing 20% hills.
Riding outside is a different vibe man, inside is so hot and humid
Also should i buy a carbon bike the tarmac roads out here aren't exactly flat 😅
