  1. Some small amendments/corrections:
0:45 Not a cathedral, but a former abbey church of the order of cistercians, which became after Reformation the Protestant church of the town – Ravensburg was one of the cities evenly divided between Protestants (mostly the patricians) and the Catholics (mostly craftsmen, attendants and small business). It holds also the grave of Henggi Humpis (1345-1429), merchant, one of the founders and directors of the "Great Trade Company" (Magna Societas Alamannorum), since 1385 mayor.
1:15 Actually that is not the old fire house, but the Salzstadel, the salt storage house, which is now used by the voluntary firefighters and houses also a firefighters museum.
1:25 The Vogthaus, build by tanner, who rented it in 1461 to the Vogt (steward) of Schmalegg (a nearby village sold in 1413 to the town by the counts of Werdenberg); 1514 the city sold the house to the chaplain of St. Jodok. St. Jodok is nowadays the Catholic "youth church"; in former times the lower town was mostly Catholic.
2:10 The Blaserturm was also used as fire watch; before the town expansion 1330-1370 it was part of the lower fortification of the town. After removing the wall at both sides of the tower it collapsed during a storm in 1552 and was rebuilt in the Italian Renaissance style.
2:30 The Ravensburger museum, "Ravensburger" being the games and books publishing company with the blue triangle. The museum of Ravensburg would be across the street in the Humpis quarter, the former townhouse of the Humpis family. The house of the Ravensburger museum (which shows the history and games of the company) belonged to the Möttelin family, also founders and shareholders of the "Great Trade Company"; they sold it in 1473 to the Besserer family (another shareholder), from whom it was inherited in 1500 by the barons of Schellenberg zu Kisslegg. In 1896 it became the seat of the Otto Maier publishing house, which then became "Ravensburger".
3:15 The Mehlsack tower was originally called "Turm bei St. Michael" (tower at Saint Michael's chapel) which was then spoofed into Mehlsack due to its flour-white color. It was built at the highest point of the city's grounds to watch the activities of the Imperial bailiff up in the castle; it was high enough to look into the courtyard of the castle (which was destroyed during the 30 Years' war by Swedish troops).
3:30 Not a church, but a small palace built by the city council in 1751 on the walls of the ruined "Bergfried", the main tower of the former castle, after they had bought the ruins.
The castle was originally built in the second half of the 11th century by the Welf dynasty, whose Swabian branch had here its ancestral seat, while the southern branch ruled Burgundy. The builder of the castle, Welf IV was appointed in 1070 Duke of Bavaria, his grandson Heinrich the Proud became in 1137 also the Duke of Saxony. The castle became then a ducal palace. After Heinrich the Proud died, his brother Welf VI, Duke of Spoleto, became the head of the family and took his seat at the castle. His nephews were Henri the Lion, Duke of Bavaria and Saxony, and Friedrich Barbarossa of House Staufen, Duke of Swabia, German King and Roman Emperor (who then inherited the castle). After the end of the Staufen dynasty the castle became only one of many Imperial castles, and the town of Ravensburg became an Imperial City.
4:48 The Liebfrauenkirche was (and is again) the Catholic main church of the town.
