Got this for free from OfferUp. Was wondering if anyone can ID it. It says it’s from 1977, wanted to make sure it’s not a replica. Anyone know what this cost?? Rides good just needs a little adjustments.
I hate cottered cranks, but with new pins it was okay.
The frame was too small for my long legs. But with the seat all the way up, it was okay.
The color was inoffensive.. and okay
The seat was okay
And if you needed to get somewhere? With Kia, it would get you there okay.
As someone who has suffered through Murrays, and AMFs, that made Huffy seem pretty good, the Kia was an absolutely adequate bike! You could do better, but really, they’re fundamentally sound. The frames are lugged, it has a 3 piece crank, the finish is okay, the brakes, while cheap, are aluminum. You could honestly do a FUCK TON WORSE. (I’m looking at you, Murray).
That one looks oddly sexy with that seat, wrap, and ridiculous white walls.
Something about the way the lines flow. Keep it; ride it.
And buy new cranks cotters, or better yet, dumpster dive a cotterless bottom bracket set.
Horror-Raisin-877 on
Looks great.
Adjust the seat and the brake levers, they’re far from where they need to be. And then the bike will be even greater 🙂

Are $100 bikes often replicated?🤔
It’s a lower-end generic bike from the 1970s
I had a Kia Ranger.
It was one of the most okay bikes I’ve ever had.
