Got doored a little while ago and my left brake has been a little lower than the other ever since. Is this hard to fix? Do I need to take off the bar tape to so? Should I fix it myself or take it to a bike shop?

Take off the tape, inspect the bar, the stem interface area and the lever for damage. Then if all good, reset and retake.
Peel the rubber back on the lever, there’s an Allen bolt under there. Loosen it slightly and you should be able to slip it back into place, then tighten.
