I recently bough this triban rc120 disc and I'm slowly trying to fix it myself and do all the maintenance. On my way home it started making a noise each time I pushed on the pedals, which becomes almost a rattling when going downhill. It sounds like something is not properly fixed, so I tried tightening the bolts on each side under the plastic cap but they're already tight. It also makes a constant buzz when pedaling, the same noise it makes when you stop pedaling but a bit quieter. What could it be? I don't think it can possibly be the chain as I replaced it, degreased it and lubed it 2 days ago. I'm afraid that if I continue I will cause some serious damage. Thanks in advance.

Does the crank arm feel loose? Looks like itβs not fully on the square taper spindle
Not likely to fix it on the side of the road. Sounds to me like something in the bottom bracket. I would pedal home slowly, spinning the pedals as lightly as possible.
Hmm i would try to ride home in a slow manner, i dont think that its something thats particularely dangerous if you do ride slowly – but dont go fast and if you feel uncomfortable then stop
The BB is probably starting to wear out, looks like a kinda cheap one(no judgement), it’s not a big deal you can keep riding for a while, it’s just the bearings wearing out, when you are ready or when it becomes annoying enough, pull it out, measure the spindle length, and get a new sealed one(square taper 68mm BSA), may need a few tools to pull out the old one and install the new one but it’s a worthwhile project for a DIY’er.
Everything has been said here but I will add that a new bottom bracket is quite cheap, not hard to replace at all, just need a few tools for the job. On my Decathlon bike like your Triban bike, I had a Thun plastic bottom bracket installed. It might be the same.
Are you sure itβs coming from the bottom bracket? It could be either of the wheels, or mechs. Could even be something hitting the spokes as the wheel goes round.
