In this video I was watching the Tour of Britain pass through Bedworth.
Just a short video today. I’m out here on Wilington Road in Bedworth waiting for the tour of Brutin to come past. It’s hard to believe that there’s going to be 100 plus riders melting down this road shortly. And it’s not closed off. It’s not emptied or anything like that. Should be fun. And they’re heading in that direction to wherever that leads. I’ve never been down that road. So, over that bridge. Hopefully, we’ll catch them as they come past. I’m a bit disappointed there’s not many people here. There’s two old BS waiting for the race, but that’s all I’ve seen so far. Yeah, maybe it’ll improve later. So, I moved further down the road to uh the little bridge. Get a better view of them as they come past from here. Go in that way. I would imagine this area is going to end up being a toilet breaks place through get a better view. Cool. I would have thought they would have sent the road cleaners out this morning because of uh all this luck. Some riders like to be right up against the road. So, this could be dangerous for them, but I’ve made no attempt to clean the roads. I think they should do, but there you go. It’s British government in it, so what do you expect? So, the first two team cars have gone past and must be getting up to the uh technical zones. They’re the guys out there with the wheels holding them out ready just in case. If they’re coming through now, it won’t be long before the actual riders get here. I don’t know if this guy’s one of the riders. I would have thought so cuz I haven’t seen any escort vehicles. He looks a bit professional though. Apart from he’s on his phone. One of the TV bikes. This is going to be so much fun. Looks like we got another official car here. Unless we’re getting very close. Oh, it’s a team GB vehicle. Cool. I must be getting close now. We’ll get him anyway. He isn’t one of the riders, but hey, he’s riding the course. More team cars coming. [Applause] Do you know XT is one of my favorite teams of all time? Can’t beat him. Looks like we got another team car coming. [Music] [Music] [Applause] FDJ. This looks like an organizer car. Who is the chief judge? Make sure there’s no cheating. That’s why we got a few of the event motorbikes here. [Music] And the crowd’s right up there. It’s good to see so many have turned out. Another team car on the way down. [Applause] Oh, quick step. Mark Cavendish’s old team. Yeah, they put the uh patrol bikes in into places now. So, I’m assuming we’ve got to be somewhere close.
