I’ve been looking for a solid used road bike for commuting in the city and long rides with friends. I found this Specialized Sirrus for $250 and wondering if that’s a good deal? I don’t know a whole lot about bikes so would love any input on whether this is a good bike to move forward with and what I should look out for if I end up meeting with the seller.

This technically isn’t a road bike. It’s classified as a “hybrid” or fitness which sounds fine for the purposes you’re looking for (casual rides, commutes around town). The model looks a bit older, it’s kind of difficult to tell just from this one image, but as long as the components are fine when you take a look, it’s probably an OK deal. I’d ask what size it is and ask if you can test ride it before handing over any money.
