17 riders in the breakaway then interesting riders. Mark Solair who’s already won a stage. Basioli, there’s Aken Bernal. Nice look at him today. Aen Bernal, the Colombian champion. He is 15 minutes and 42 seconds down in the general classification. The highest place rider in this breakaway. Is this a Is this an attack or is this It looks like it could be an attack now from the leading group of riders. Land has decided that he wants to just test things out a little bit onto this climb. 2.8 km to go to the top and he’s decided that maybe he’s checking over his shoulder and wondering whether anyone is going with him. And I wonder whether it is a proper attack or whether he just decided to ride that a little bit harder. It’s the way he rides and so be it. Bernal comes across. Look at the gritted teeth of Bernal as he makes his way onto the wheel now. Two great champions at the front. And Lander now starts the acceleration with Bernal on the wheel. He’s decided that this is a really worthy breakaway companion and he wants to now try and really put the the distance into the rest of the breakaway. Look at this from group FD firing a rider to bridge across. Almost at the top of the climb now. We’re about to go over the top. We’ve got 200 meters to go until we reach there. Alto de Groa top of the climb. Lander Bernal and on the wheel is the rider who has joined them from the team of group. [Applause] This chasing group under the momentum of Mark Solair is now starting to crack and Solair is starting to use his pace and his power to try and put himself in with another stage winning situation. Bernal checks over the shoulder looks down the road. He’ll be able to see Solair on the front. Nico Dense is in all sorts of difficulty. Crash of Lorenzo Forinato of the team of XDS Estana. Oh, that looks painful. Forinato’s had a pretty bad crash. They can see the top of the climb now. They need to keep the momentum going. Is Benal going to go through and take the bonus seconds or is Lander going to do it? They’re not worried. Lander goes over the top of the climb, takes the bonus seconds. Bernard didn’t even worry. Hannah, all about the stage victory. Must be keeping the cohesion. You are going to gain time anyway. 654 is the gap. And now at the front of Oh, Wengerard has got a problem. Jonas Vengerard has had to take a bike of his teammate trying to get his feet in the pedals. Ben Tullet perfect moment hands it over. Puncture for Yonas and he’s now back and underway. So, as you said, Hannah, you can lose 48 seconds in the blink of an eye. Anything might happen and Wenger now is having to chase to get back on Brass who’s gone now. He’s now punctured. disaster. This is not good news at all. And there’s no cars, Hannah, cuz we’ve been on such a narrow road, haven’t we? 14.6 km to go. So, as Hannah’s just outlined, major news. The race direction has just said on the race radio. There is a protest at 3 km from the line. We’ll decide the stage winner and take times 8 km before the finish line. And how do they play this out? Because we should be seeing 1 km to go right now. Counterattacks in the group behind. It’s too late. It’s going to be about Mikall Lander and Aen Bernal as they make their way towards the finish line. Where is the line? There it is. Bernal opens up the sprints on the left hand side as he goes for the finish. Mik Lander in second place. It’s going to be Aen Bernal. Aen Bernal comes back in Lavala. 4 years and 4 months since his last Grand Tour stage win and Aen Bernal has taken the victory here ahead of Mikall Lander in second place. Pinley and Pelazari say well done to each other. Pitcock and Wengerard have a little conversation. The clock is ticking now for Felix Gal. He has 53 51 seconds to Pelazari.

If you cant finish the planned course is it still the Vuelta? Cutting climbs and routes. Even of you have a winner there would be an asterisk. A shame the organizers have failed the riders and the fans.
This is a real shame this is now the second stage that has been ruined
Ant McCrossan is back!
Stop calling them protesters. They are criminals and racists.
The spanish gvmt WANTS this to happen. Thise leftist officials could stop this at any given moment. COMPLETE FREAKING DISGRACE
Animo!!!
Ni paz, ni descanso, para los genocidas.
No peace, no rest, for the genociders
Why is there a stage winner today and not the Pidcock stage, that was shortened?
Seems unfair. What's the UCI doing?
Nice to see the anti-semites at the top of the Alto da Groba bleating like the mindless sheep they are. All the hate congregated at one place. Useful idiots.
This has no place in world-class cycling.
Vuelta organizers should be ashamed. Lock up these protesters.
La vuelta has to be the biggest joke in recent cycling memory. It's almost like Spain went full woke and won't toss the clowns interfering in jail. I fail to see how this buys any sympathy for the protestor's movement.
Is the Vuelta and Spanish authorities that much less organized than the Tour or are tensions higher now? Or both? As frustrating as it is to see the protests disrupting the Vuelta, we are here talking about it and they are making their point. I can’t help but be angry that they disrupt events that can change a riders career and life, all the hours put in over the years. There are better and safer ways to protest, enough is enough at the Vuelta.
Over and over again.
