Hi guys,
As you can see in the video, when I brake the wheel still have movement. I’ve read that this can be normal, but I think it’s too much. The bike is from April 2025, så it’s pretty new still.
What’s your thoughts? Is this normal, if not how can I fix it?

Probably the pads moving back and forth in the caliper. They’re not zero tolerance.
Your rotor is not moving but your wheel is by the looks of it. Check the rotor is bolted down tight.
I would check your wheel bearing and your spoke tension. That’s more play than id want.
It’s either the rotor bolts or the hub
The same thing is happening to my roscoe 8. Rotor doesn’t move but the rest of the wheel is moving. Maybe it’s the hub.
Dude you can see the brake rotor is NOT turning when you turn the wheel. Tighten your bolts bro!!
try tighten everything before making a video
Its from your hub.
Is the quick release moving, or is it the perspective of camera?
I have this on one of my real sets and it is the brake rotors or center lock and are not a good fit. I put higher quality brake rotors on and it took away the the issue
My first thought was… is this a low end hub with low engagement between the pawls?
Check the bolts on your rotor and torque them down. I had this exact same issue earlier this year and the bolts on my rotor were a little loose. I can’t remember the spec but I think it’s somewhere between 6 and 10 n-m
You can clearly see the axle is loose.
I had the same problem, my disc is not tight enough
Trek Bike?
Lookup Trek ABP (Active Braking Pivot)
Mine does the same thing
It’s rotor bolts for sure, had the same issue. The disc won’t move because pads are holding it. It’s the hub that is slightly moving due to the additional play that loose disc introduced
Pads have play is my guess. That’s common
You need to tighten your rotor bolts
Very slight movement comes from brakepads as they have gaps and it is multiplied…
This happened to me, your rotor is loose.
Is it a centerlock rotor? Mine was loose from the factory and it kind of looked like this.
Pads moving
As a sidenote, get rid of those tires and put on some proper ones. Those tires are meant to last for years, offer very little grip.
I swapped to specialized Butcher to in front and Eliminator t7 in back and the difference in grip is insane. The butcher especially saved me many times from falling.
You might have broken the brake, make sure you don’t break it again!
Is it a centerlock rotor? If so, it’s fine. Go ride it.
