

I carefully sanded it with a fine sandpaper and then sealed it with two coats of clear varnish. Aluminum is a very soft material, so it went pretty quickly. And to all those who wrote that I should use narrower tires, thanks for nothing.

yeah that’s gonna wear off in about two minutes
Thumbs up for seeing a problem, making a decision, and just doing it.
Nice fix. I’d personally cover that spot with a sticker to protect the frame. Cheap and easy to replace.

Good job. It might be worth putting a bit of Heli tape over that part of the downtube to avoid any potential abrasion
I bought today same tires but in 40 size.
