  1. Made in Japan. The ones I’ve seen were mostly white and sold at Sears during the bike boom of the late 70’s. The Tange tubing was the equivalent of Reynolds 531. I was moonlighting at a shop, we saw a few of these to adjust some assembly issues, (nothing big). Think they came with Suntour grouppo’s. Probably had 27” steel wheels to keep the cost $250 ish, down.

    1984 Lotus Classique!
    A very, very nice, hand braised champion 1 frame, with auto trimming suntour derailleurs and enough chrome to turn heads. These are very well made and have a 700c wheelset. These are a real joy to ride. I have one. These were not sold at sears
