  1. Before y’all say I’m a Turkish or Greek comment, I’m not but here to show history of what happened: right when the Ottoman Empire fallen the British took over but by 1947 they didn’t want it since Greece and turkey were fighting over it. The British made a government saying the president has to be Greek and the vice president has to be Turkish and everyone can be at “peace”. This law was supposed to be peaceful and if one of the country’s (turkey and greece) violate the treaty then one side has to get involved. Soon Greek people hated the Turkish people in Cyprus and started attacking the Turks . Greece then sent military troops to the land to stop the attacks between Greeks and Turkish Cyprus people which violated the constitution of Cyprus. The Turkish government said the Greeks violated the constitution and they wanted to keep the peace. So turkey invaded Cyprus and claimed most the north. Soon the Un and British got involved and created a ceasefire line. Greeks own south of Cyprus while turkey controlled north Cyprus meanwhile the UN owns the ceasefire line and the British own some ports.

  2. Before Turkey's invasion of Cyprus, the Greeks were committing massacres, boycotts, and oppression against the Turks. The Turks on the island were like those in Gaza today. Turkey repeatedly warned the Greeks, even conducting warning flights over the island. Then, a coup-era Greek officer took over the island. Greek soldiers landed on the island in massive cargo planes. Half of these soldiers left after Türkiye complained to the US. The Greeks staged a coup on the island, a fascist government was established, and Türkiye was required to land troops on the island, liberating the Turks. However, when the operation began, the Greeks massacred the Turks in areas the Turkish troops had not yet captured. You can research the island's history. Things like Bloody Christmas are examples of Greek massacres. They did the same thing during the Turkish War of Independence.
