I’m standing here with the leader jersey, red jersey, his teammate Matteo Jorgensson. And Matteo, you are American, but you’re also a bit Danish, aren’t you? A little bit. A little bit. They try to claim me, but uh I resist at with all my power. What are you calling him? Are you calling him Y as we say in Danish? Yeah, of course. Of course. I claim him Danish. So, of course, I I say it in a Danish way. Listen, if they give me a passport, I’ll be Danish. It would help my life so much to live in Europe if they gave me a passport. So that’s a request to you, Danish government. I think Yonas has some context the status he has in in the country, don’t you, Jonas? Oh, I mean, maybe we can figure out. You need to maybe learn Danish first, but then yeah, that’s a challenge, but I’m up for it. A word for the Danish prime minister, guys. Good luck. Huga, as we say in Danish. Thank you very much, Tuck. Tuck. Well done. See you. Hey, fold that out.

  1. Finally we get some American who can bring us some honor in cycling and the Danes want him? NO!
On the other hand, it's kind of sad that he's ready to defect. It really shows that the USA has become a 2nd world country since The Orange Man took over. 🙁

  2. ‘It would help my life so much to live in Europe’ he literally lives in Nice, met him a few times through mutual Irish/French friends when i lived in Nice and he literally lives there. Through most of the year. Obviously not all year but the vast majority of it. Maybe he doesn’t think Nice is Europe

  3. Jorgs picked up French when he rode for AG2R. He learned Spanish when he rode for Movistar. He gave his Paris-Nice victory interview in solid French too, I'm sure he'd be willing to take on Danish as well! 🙂
