If you want to build mountain biking trails, but think you don’t have enough room, this video will show you how to do it. These are my backyard trails. And once you get to the bottom of the hill, you’ll see that I have no more than about 100 ft of elevation. To make your trails the best that they can be, you don’t want to make them longer than they need to be. For example, this trail here is basically just a straight line, but it’s the most fun thing I’ve built in this backyard. All because it follows the flow of the hill. Although it’s definitely good to still add corners in some areas as it can really add a nice twist to your trail. Most importantly, don’t expect your trail to be a long bike park styled run. And

You need to bench cut into the hill. That will rut out in no time and water will turn into a river. You can’t build a trail on the fall line and expect it to last.
