Their stack, reach, and other metrics appear similar. But I was told the Speedster is totally an endurance type and Emonda is not.

Comparing these two sizes, is that still true, maybe because of the Speedster’s endurance leaning head tube angle and chain stay length?

I’m trying to get a road bike with more aero potential. My ideal saddle height is around 675-680, and the 540 stack on my current bike, even with slammed with 15 mm spacer left on the bottom, feels limited.

Pictures are the size XXS and 50 of the said models. If I buy either, I plan to remove the spacers in the same manner as on my current bike.

  1. I have an older emonda and it’s VERY racy (long and low). I think they’ve updated the geometry on recent models to make it slightly less aggressive, but it’s still not an endurance bike. Unless you need the absolute smallest bike possible, I’d go with the emonda. The geometry seems less compromised on the (speedster XXS had a very slack headtube angle), and emonda has a shorter seat tube which will allow for more exposed seat post which will increase comfort on the bike.

  2. I have a Speedster 10 from 2024. It runs big. 4500km in a year for commuting, nice bike. But integrated cabling for mechanical shifting isn’t ideal imo.
