My first vintage bike and I’m fascinated by it, an early 90s Concorde Prelude. It’s so light. Someone converted it to single speed in the past but I bought it with the intention of making it fixed gear. Hopefully I can get tires at least a little bigger than 23s to fit. Back wheel is a Wolber T430 Alpine and front wheel is a Mavic MA40. Not sure of the hubs. I would love to keep the back wheel and replace the hub to make it fixed but I know that’s quite a process. I don’t know why it has cantilever brakes or why the chain ring is installed like that. Based on the markings the whole frame was wrapped in tape at one point, I see people do that here sometimes to protect the frame. Though right now it’s a real beater, but for 60 bucks I can’t complain. Any advice or insights is appreciated.
