Motorcycle Rideout Around The Gorge Du Verdon

Episode 5 of the Chicken Strips French Alps Tour 2024 sees us have a day riding around the South of France taking in the Route Napoleon, The Gorge du Verdon and some excellent roads in between!

Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Hey, Heat. [Music] There you go. [Music] the chicken strips. This is day What day is it? four or five, can’t remember. Uh, brilliant day yesterday, all day long. Absolutely fantastic. Everyone was visiting around. Group stayed together. It was quick. Lots of scenery. Everyone was buzzing when they got to the hotel. Hotels in Castellan. We’re there for two nights. So, today is a no luggage day. And we’re doing bird. Um at the moment we’re heading on the route Napoleon Castellan south and then we’ll loop back to the gorge. It’s going to be sunny all day. I should get up to 28°. So, I haven’t bothered bringing water. So, yeah, I’ve had uh I think I got some mic issues. I think the water on is it day two. It was horrendous all day and I think the water’s got into my mic and it may have killed it. Note to self, bring a spare mic with you when you go away on trips. So yeah, I’ll keep the camera rolling for a bit. I should turn the corn back on just in case there’s any messages I need to hear. If you’ve never been down this way, it’s definitely worth doing. I’ve come many times to Castellan. It’s great place to stay for, you know, a couple of days or more. There’s so many routes that come out from Castellan that all like this. You can have a lot of fun. You don’t necessarily have to use the route Napoleon goes a big crash after a while but this gorgeon which you’ll see later is fantastic but there’s many other routes to Darius going to come back Phone connected. This road is quite well policed because obviously it’s um race traffic. This one called This is still the Napoleon. It’s Yeah. Yeah. That runs all the way through. Okay. altogether uh about 180 something like that 160 runs from Grenobyl all the way down to the med. So yeah, some switches a bit of crap, some switches a bit okay. So we kind of hop off and on as we go through the tour. Just using some of the good bits and trying to skip out the gold bits. Bit into it. Love it. Spectacular view again. down as we go. We’re not high in terms of eyes on the road. It’s my holiday, too. Don’t want it to be our last. Wow, look at that. It’s full. rock down for the right hand side of the road. Okay. Yeah. There was one split second where I could have got a really good shot of the all a load of them coming down here, but it was so quick that I couldn’t do it in time. Everyone’s in the trees now. [Music] Yeah, it’s very bad. See, not the M1. Yeah, there’s a place in whole Beach called Three Hills. I’ve been to it several times. I’ve never seen a hill. I think the whole change in elevation I remember the painted with it little roof. [Music] Is that the lake they were collecting the water from when we had they had the forest fire? I think so. Right.
