Gitane touring bike from 1979. Very well preserved. No scratches, no signs of wear — the bike is almost in like-new condition, as if it just came out of the shop. I found it second-hand for €90 in France.
Quite a good deal no?
Wow! Brings back memories. My first new ten speed was a gitane, bought in highschool around 1966 with paper route money. It did not tour but all components were about the same. Thanks for sharing. What’s the history of ownership?

Very very nice 👍 love the Huret derailleurs and drillium crank. I’ve got a 1975 Motobecane Gran Jubile that’s also Huret equipped. A Ideale 92 Diagonale REBOUR saddle would look great on your bike. One of favorite saddles.

I have a soft spot for Gitane bikes, my first road bike was a Gitane.
I still regret selling it but it was too small.

Wow that is a beauty! Please try to keep intact as-is. Those Huret components are super rare. Service all of the loose ball bearing parts if you know how to.
